The consultation was the biggest waste of money I've ever spent on a lawyer.

I am Disappointed, Angry and Disgusted!!
A Brief synopsis of my experience:
I retained a lawyer, Mike Macomber, based on a recommendation from someone that knew him. The case was an employment issue, regarding harassment, wrongful termination and unpaid wages. At the consultation, M. Macomber was very personable and seemed genuinely interested and concerned. He explained what he could do for me, and expressed it would be a relatively quick and positive outcome. 11 months and $5,000 later, my case was dismissed and never even made it to a hearing.
M.Macomber never submitted any of he information I provided his associate with, in fact, he never even looked at it. He passed everything off to his associate, who then left the firm. It took me numerous phone calls and e-mails (with no responses), before I found this out. I would ALWAYS have to call and e-mail several times before I would get a reply. Macomber was constantly telling me things he was going to do for my case, but then never followed through. He lied to me more than a few times, and a few times, I was left to follow up on things that he failed to do. He was extremely uncaring, he put things he was supposed to do for me off for weeks or more at a time, and in most case didn't do them at all. Money was a HUGE priority and to him, and he didn't hesitate to call every time he wanted more. He knew I had taken all the money I had, but told me I'd need to borrow it or find it somehow, and if I didn't then he would not continue with my case. I was also told that my case was not nearly as important as the one's who are paying him thousands of dollars a week. I found out the outcome of my 9 days prior to my attorney notifying me. No phone call, no explanation, no apology or suggestions; just a short paragraph asking if I wanted to appeal. Since then I have received an email, a phone call and a copy of a bill, stating that I still owe him $275.00. Mike Macomber is only out for himself and his wallet.

I am truly disgusted they don't fight for you like a law firm should right down to the partners. You're better off going somewhere else and get the results you're hoping for. I'm just stating facts. The amount of money you will invest with this firm is disgusting and with very little results.

Applied for a job with this company 4 weeks ago. Their receptionist kept telling me that the manager was going to get back to me via email. She never returned any of my emails nor did I receive any from her. I had to go into the office and speak to her individually to ask her about the position. Not only was the wait long, but it took long enough for the assistant to tell me that she unfortunately can’t see me because she is not able to make it up to talk to me. That again left me with leaving her an email and I had to physically leave my number because I was sick of hearing the assistant say I’ll leave her an email. Now after weeks of waiting I get an email saying that they did not choose me for the position. The position is an easy receptionist that passes out candy and helps people get to where they need to get. Why was I not chosen?!? I have a degree in communications and sociology. I have both a high school and associates degree along with my bachelors along with 3 years of office experience and 5 years of customer service experience. Why?!

Sincere and impressive firm!

Most lawyers I know are horrible people except Barb King. I have never met a lawyer that is a beautiful person inside until I met her. Her philosophy on family law when it involves children is not to fight but resolve the situation because like it or not parents of a child are family. How is fighting going to help build a happy peaceful environment for a child?? Barb is not only a beautiful person but also an excellent excellent lawyer. She absolutely knows the law and how to use it. At a very low point in my life as far as being disgusted with the human race, Barb helped restore some of my faith in humanity.

I felt that this law firm didn't offer me the candid legal consultation from day one on whether to pursue a legal case or not. Their main concern was that I simply pay. Not to mention that my case kept being re-assigned from one of their legal experts to another for at least 4 times which caused lots of confusion. The original one even quit the firm, which caused me lots of uncertainties. The other thing I won't recommend this legal firm is that they nickel and dime everything and charge the client. Even when they pause during a phone call or sneeze, there goes a charge on the client. I would prefer to deal with legal firms that simply do it the good 'ole and honest fashion way: one flat rate for the entire case. This new nickel-n-dime method is dishonest and opens the door for lots of unnecessary charges against the client's balance. I paid this firm close to $10 grand for an ill-advice. I wish they were more candid and have told me from the beginning that my case wouldn't yield anything since there was no so-called a “smoking gun,” but they didn't.

When I called them I told them I was looking for a lawyer they told me they had to do a background check and look up a few things about potiential clients, found out it wasn't true and now they are constantly watching my social media. After I told them I had another lawyer take on my case. I don't recommend.

Paid $150 for a Consultation. This takes place via phone, btw. You can drive to their office if you wish. I was an hour away so I did it by phone. They send you an e-mail stating you are paying for an hour of the Attorney`s time. Phone call lasted 10 minutes. Lawyer made my me feel like my case was too challenging for him and said he`d run it by some partners and either call me back, or shoot me an e-mail later that day. Neither happened. Joke. The Receptionist was the best part of my experience with this " firm. "

Dont even think of using this firm. My case was put through 7 yes 7 different attorneys with this firm. The only way I got anything done was to explain to them I was going to file a complaint with the New York State Attorney Grievance Committee. They charged me triple what they quoted me. The first three attorneys did absolutely nothing on my case and when I contacted Mr. Rock the senior partner, he ignored my request for the return of funds for those three attorneys. Pay attention to what these people are saying go elsewhere for representation.

The information was provided was misleading for my file, The location from there office to Binghamton without my consent, during this time the billing was misleading, Upfront a set amount and then they changed lawyers and charge rate. I will not use them again. They do not work efficiently for the customer.

Maybe zero stars? Hired them for a bankruptcy with a deed in lieu. The deed in lieu part was never done. Seven years later, the resulting foreclosure is still haunting me. Would not recommend if you want anything done right.

I'd give zero stars if I could. I put my trust in them when attempting to make my first real estate purchase (I'm in my early 30's). They offered little to no assistance. I NEVER ONCE SAW AN ATTORNEY. The entire time I dealt with a paralegal who dressed like a slob and snapped on gum during every appointment I had with them. They couldn't be any less professional if they tried. Ultimately my deal fell apart. I lost thousands. 1.5 YEARS LATER I NOW OWN 4 INVESTMENT PROPERTIES - the only mistake I ever made in the real estate game was going with this mickey mouse law firm... Even their receptionist/secretary struggles to handle her job as she almost had a heart attack when I asked for a xerox of some paperwork (from their office!!!).

I asked a simple question and the operator hung up on me before I was able to say thank you.

Please hire paralegals and/or lawyers that are actually empathetic and kind instead of being callous and cold hearted. Thank you.

They did not help with anything! Instead they passed me around to different lawyers then proceeded to charge me because i had to explain my case way to many times.

for the informal federal EEO all was good but after on aug 3rd 2016 the mediation my lawyer said there would be a new retainer and that I had a little of the old retainer left. While I was working and serving in Afghanistan and starting a new contract I told my lawyer that by the end of the month I would be able to make a payment past the relapse 15 day period and she said she would work with me and file before the 15 day lapse. between the 4th and 17th I haven't heard from her on the firm and then was given a new lawyer in DC In which I assumed he was brought up to speed NOT ......... so they allowed it to lapse and refused to help me or even appeal the dismissal from the Airforce .. they threw me under the BUS ... so I would shop around before this place ..
