Was with step son at court 3 times and all she did was postpone. Case was so simple . Tickets dont match the information so I had discussed with her to ask judge to dismiss . Dropped off papers to her office and next day at court she said she didnt get . This is after having a 15 minute phone conference. This public defender scares me for she doesn't do anything but postpone. Sad our tax money is wasted.

I only gave a star because you pretty much have to. For the love of God, SAVE your money and DO NOT hire anyone in this office. You may as well take your money and literally throw in your toilet and flush it. I paid $2500 for Heidi Gifford to represent me in a case. Which in the beginning she said they were working on a deal. So, months later and same day of court, suddenly they just got the offer? BULL. LIARS. Heidi NEVER even showed in court and supposedly something else came up. Well, hello... for $2500, you should show up. So she sent someone else "Beth May" ? For all I know, her paralegal. I don't know. The secretary said that Beth just joined the office 3 weeks ago. Great. Plus, I was NEVER told that the $2500 was a flat fee. And I shouldn't have agreed to their plea but had that day to think about it and you can bet, her office knew before this and just sat on it until last day. CROOKED CROOKED CROOKED system we have. Lawyers, judges, cops.... etc. These crooked jerks taint the honest ones that are far a few for sure.

I hired Attorney Gifford for my divorce. The office seemed very disorganized. I was advised incorrectly on some key points and when a friend pointed them out, I made the decision to hire a different attorney to represent me for the rest of my divorce.

Do you know, or even care, anything about the people and the lives behind the names on the folders laying around on someone's desk in your office? Do you fully understand how your lack of give-a-damn effects them? You have respresented two of my family members, one privately, one as a public defender, both with abysmal results. The one who hired you privately was able to find an attorney to actually help, while the other was unable to get anyone else. Maybe, consider that someone you were assigned to represent is an actual being, trying to build a life and deserves a modicum of respect and dignity. You didn't even try.
