Joann took my contested divorce she was unable to do it. She trapped me to retain her. She promised me too much, but she did not get house for me, did not get pension for me, did not get legal fees for me, did not get alimony for me, did not get wrong judgment reversed for me, did not know how to defend me and got order of protection against me. She was afraid of judges and afraid of opposing attorneys. She trembled in court house. She tampered with my retainer agreement to charge me tremendous emails and charged me legal fees of about $34,365. I got legal fee arbitration and paid her $24,500. I wrote negative reviews against her. She hired a lawyer to threaten me for defamation lawsuit and called a police officer to knock my door to threaten to arrest me for writing negative review against her.
It is hard to trust her overwhelming positive reviews.

I hired Jo Ann to be my divorce attorney. The divorce is finally complete but she did not communicate effectively which caused the entire process to be more stressful than needed. One example: I am retired military 23 years and had hoped for someone who could explain the effects of divorce on my military retirement in detail since it is different than a normal retirement, so I could understand. Joann E. Coughtry charged me one email for $50 and sent it to 4 email addresses of mine and then charged me 4 x $50 = $200. One day she sent me 27 emails and charged me 27 x $50 = $1,350. And another day she sent me 29 emails and charged me 29 x $50 = $1,450. And again one day she sent me 12 emails and charged me 12 x $50 = $600. She just sit at home and wrote the same emails to me and charged me legal fees and did nothing for me. Can you trust this attorney? Can you retain this attorney for your divorce, for your custody of children?
