How can anyone really rate a Lawyers office that deals in collections in an unbiased manner. Apparently one of my medical offices doesn't like a monthly payment instead of hundreds of dollars paid all at once. Guess it's not true what "they" say - "paying something every month until paid in full keeps them happy". The original creditor is who hires these collection firms right? If so, shame on them for being all about the money upfront and not the person's financial well-being.

They are robbers. Good luck if they get your bill. My suggestion in an event they get your bill, pay it full and ask for a confirmation letter that shows the bill was paid. DO NOT MAKE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS with them, they DO NOT keep track of payments, everytime you call them they will tell you a different balance, and the funny thing is the balance keeps going up, never comes down. Customer service is poor.
I really wish I could give them negative stars. Very rude and extremely unprofessional

This law firm continuously filed foreclosure paperwork in court with my address for another person. It wasn’t until my tenant told me the house was in the paper as foreclosed that I learned about the error. For almost a year, Since June 18’ they filed 30 court documents foreclosing on the wrong address. My house was set for auction in two weeks!! The auction has been stopped since I learned of this. Now they are taking no responsibility in fixing the damage that is all over the internet that it is a foreclosure damaging my home value severely and making it incredibly difficult to rent because people think the home was foreclosed. The press republican and local papers have published a front page story about that has happened. They make the mistake and I’m stuck with the damage.

Have receipt for Co-Pay they said I owe. Spoke with medical provider, they said there is no balance due. Overton Russel Doerr still claims that the debt is valid, and that I must pay them, or I will continue to receive harassing phone calls. I HAVE A RECEIPT, they said it doesn't matter.. Pay or ruin your credit, my choice. Its a $20 co-pay that I have a receipt for. They literally stated that it does not matter, and that if I don't pay, they will continue to "harass" me. They actually used that term.

My account has been paid for months but they leave it on the credit report as an open account. They are scam artists and thieves not to mention cowards and the worst people to deal with. They twist the law to their advantage in order to cost you as much as possible and also use hepa as an excuse when they don't have an answer for what they are doing. When you get a bill from them go back to your original debtor and make payment arrangements with them, that way these modern day harassing individuals will not get paid. Also be aware, they are very fast at throwing your name into collections but extremely slow taking it out. On the phone they are extremely unprofessional and rude, expect to get treated like a criminal. So you know this is not just a disgruntled person posting over here I had two debts with them and both were errors in the debtor attempting to bill the wrong insurance company. I am willing to bet if you could obtain an honest attorney you would find most of what these people do is illegal. Question: why do these people have the power to ruin someone's credit, hurt them financially with only hearsay evidence that anything is owed? Isn't that the same as guilty until proven innocent?

I called and they told me that I wasn't legally responding to thw summons. I asked how I would legally reapond, and she told me that it was in the summons. Again the summons only really gave me a phone number to call.
I yold the lady this and she just repeated what she already said. We went round and round in this stupid little circle, until around the 6th time I asked if by mail is the proper way she said "yes". I asked her why she didn't just say that in the first place, to which she said it was a conflict of interest to provide me with the proper communication method.

Received a collection letter from this Agency back in 2010 requesting payment for around 30000 dollars for a bill that was payed by my insurance. I called and spoke with them after confirming with my insurance company that they had paid the bill. The agency rep was polite and stated that they indeed had received confirmation of payment and no further action would be taken. About 5 years later, I receive a summons stating I am being sued by this agency on behalf of the hospital for the same debt. I called the agency and attempted to explain that this was already taken care of. I was told they had no record of this, the debt had been confirmed by the hospital, and that they would continue with action unless I agreed to pay. I called the hospital myself at that point and spoke to their billing department who stated to me the bill was marked as paid in full and that they had no record of any action being taken against me and would contact the agency and stop any action. Very shady considering the summons named a billing representative from said hospital as verifying the debt. Either this agency does not keep up to date records despite placing current dates on items, or is scamming people. Either way, a huge headache for no reason and representatives that have no interest in actually hearing what you have to say. Could have been easily fixed by accepting my proof of payment, but apparently were more interested in forcing a lawsuit over nothing. Whole situation was very shady.

I received a bill from this company and had no idea what it was for as the demand for payment lacked any information for why i was being billed. The way the letter was written, gave a tone of snootiness and demanding without any sign of respect for the person receiving the bill.
So to find out what the bill was for, I called the number provided on the bill. A woman picked up and started by repeating exactly the same legal mumble jumble the call waiting had already told me. She then confirmed my information with her and then asked her if she would explain what the bill was for. At this time her tone changed and she replied in an unfriendly way that i would have to fill out a written request for details on the bill prior to receiving an explanation for why i was getting the bill.
I advised her that the explanation for the bill should have been included in with the bill and that I was not going to pay for something when I don't know what it's for and was not going to go out of my way to wast my time for a bill that can't be explained to me. After reiterating that I shouldn't have to go to the trouble of mailing in a written request to get the information about a bill that I have no idea about, I came to the conclusion I was not going to get anywhere with this woman and polity ended the call.
I then did some research on this company and it is very shady. The website URL is not a normal business url but a random collection of letters and numbers that you would normally find with scams and fake companies. I found a lot of complaints from people about this company and how there a scam. This company is not showing as a registered company with any legal branches of the state of New York.

We have received multiple calls for a bill that was paid months ago, but they have problems updating their files even though we have returned their calls with proof of payment.
I plan on notifying the Better Business Bureau, and also will tell Albany Medical Center to retain the services of a more reputable business, instead of one who will only give out a P.O. Box office address (a common scammers trick).
I also plan on notifying the local news channels to put pressure on AMC to deal with a more reputable law firm.

While the court case was proceeding the bills were to be covered by NYS crime victim services and my insurance until restitution was made. The bill was never covered and I was reported to this law office. Now because of clerical error my credit is tarnished until 2019. After making a phone call and explaining the situation they say there will not remove it from my report. My response was "So my credit is going to be ruined for the next six years over me being a victim and a clerical error?" The obnoxious woman on the phone responds with "Not by me personally but yes that is what this office intends to do."
