I was well served by Attorney Rakesh Joshi. I had received 2 citations on the NYS Thruway: following too close and failure to follow a traffic control device. Only once, over 30 years ago, had I ever been issued a traffic ticket. If I believed these to be just I would have pled guilty and paid them outright. But I was aware of a trooper ahead and had proceeded with no concerns. The actions of another precipitated events. In researching what the 2nd citation even meant- the trooper had only talked of being too close until he handed me papers and said he was issuing TWO citations- I came across info about hiring attorneys. I researched further and decided to contact Rakesh Joshi, Esq based on reviews and his location near the town of the infractions. This was shortly before July 4th holiday. I called his office early AM and Rakesh answered. I was a wreck and spoke to him twice that day. He explained process and emailed me instructions. Be aware the judicial process can move very slowly. I mailed authorization and payment.and called 2 weeks later to verify receipt. Aug 8, received email confirming receipt and info on process (my check was not cashed until Oct), Aug 11 Rakesh forwarded notice from the court that my not guilty plea was entered and my court conference was scheduled 7 months later, March 2019. I planned to contact him in February, but on Jan 10 I received notice from Rakesh that all was resolved. Follow to close was dismissed. Control device issue, 5 speeding points, was reduced to a parking ticket with a fine, 0 points- no effect on insurance. Thank You, Rakesh Joshi, Esq. Your reasonable fee was well earned. As other reviewers have stated, there is little to no communication from Mr. Joshi once your payment has been received. Despite multiple efforts at contacting him, I never heard the result of my case. Instead, I received a Past Due notice from the court regarding my ticket, along with a late fee. Overall, there was no reduction in the fine, but for Mr. Joshi's $300 fee I guess I didn't get any points on my license.

I wouldn't hire him again.

I found this lawyer through the google maps and discovered he had all 5 star reviews. At first he came on like a top lawyer. After taking my payment and speeding ticket information, he kept postponing my court date (which is normal) but I never got any updates to when the next one would be as I was anxious to not receive any points on my license. When I call kept calling him, he would never answer. Called him multiple times and finally got through when I called from my wife’s phone. He even missed a court date and court send me a failing to appear notice and told me my license would be suspended. He took care of the matter by contacting the court and getting a new date. He did eventually get my ticket reduced to a just a parking violation with no points. But the fact I had to keep calling him for a year really frustrated me. I expected to receive a email of postponement of my hearing and next court date. I had to keep calling him just to know what’s going on. Fyi, my ticket was in Sprakers, NY in Root Town Court

I got a speeding ticket 85mph in a 65 zone and was going to get suffer a hefty fine and 4 points, but Rakesh law firm reduced it to a simple 175$ parking ticket, no points!

He didn’t answer my calls or reply to my text messages. Once I threatened him with civil court due to him taking my $300 and not doing anything... he automatically knows how to call and text again. Please go elsewhere, he only prioritizes people of power not the hard working middle class that pays for a service. When demanding that he give me money money back all the sudden the ticket got reduced and he was saying that the court didn’t want to give me a lower ticket due to me being young. I called the court and they stated that he hadn’t contact them since 3 months ago and that they just sent out a suspension notice. Hello Every1, I just want to let you know that Rakesh is very much aggressive and strict in achieving the result what he promises. Also, he is tough at his fees too b'coz of his confidence in getting good result out of your original traffic tickets.

I got 4 traffic ticket (14 points - 10 points for moving violating and other 4 for speeding). I was looking for some good attorneys to take up my case and give me the best result, as I am almost near to the suspension of my driving license and I want a very good outcome. I checked with couple of attorneys and finally settled with Law Offices of Rakesh, as he gave me a good assurance that he will get me the best best result from my case. We started the process on 1st week of June and got the result for 3 tickets on Aug last week and the result for other ticket was in the 2nd week of Sep'16. He is kind of person gives you response, once he has the result. Even if you call him in the interim, you may not get response soon. You just want to have some patience to get the good result.

Finally the outcome was with Zero points out of 14 points and made a fine of $625 for all those traffic tickets.
