One person on the phone will tell you one thing, so you will do that and it will fail. You won’t get your money back.
Another person will tell you another thing and it will fail fail gloriously, and you won’t get your money back.
Then someone will tell you a third thing.
They say they. Are the payer of last resort.
I have found I am the payer of last resort.
I’ve been trying to get a doctor bill paid from a certain doctor that we all agree is covered for four years...but I’ve incurred doctor bills for four years...nothing.
It’s not unusual.
They never finished paying my dentist from when I had my teeth broken out, so I paid the last 10k.
I assure you, they will wriggle out of everything.
They are nice enough people; however, I would need a full-time attory to get back what is owed to me.
Plus you are not equal under the law if you gay. My wife and I were not married at the time of my crime 4/6/2011, because it was not legal yet for us to be married. So, you can forget her getting any help, even though we lived as a married couple and were married soon after. We’re 2nd class citizens.
Legally, they don’t have half, and they aren’t going 2...
Ironic...since it was a hate crime...tho they didn’t charge it as such...not being able to figure out what hate crime it was...”IF your going to stand like a man...I’m going to beat you like a man” Maybe he just hated woman. I was walking my 2 lb pound dogs back from the park. He was a trained boxer 240lbs 6’2” and I was not.
I was finishing my PhD when he nearly beat me to death and left me to die in a pool of my own blood with a broken face, teeth, skull, stomped in ribs...because he thought my dog peed on his tree, in NYC that’s the tree half a block down from your apt.
So, I suffered from Epilepsy, Migraines, Cluster headache, PTSD, and am constantly revictimed dealing with this organization, but I’m too poor not 2.
I’m still trying to get money back from transportation from when I lived in NYC for the 3 years I took public transportation and cabs...but they’ve made that almost impossible.
I was writing my name in block letter...receipts were not my strong point. They were willing to reimburse me public transportation, which is common in NYC...but that changed.
I have found dealing with them to be a nightmare.
I wish their was an intermediary to help, but there isn’t.
They help in the the short term, but in the long term...not so much.
If you need long term aid...have them pay your doctors...if they are paying your back, you’ll never see the money.
