I found Nick Balthrop to be very professional and efficient when he handled a family business dispute.

I needed to have a will made, so I scheduled a time to meet up with a man named Mark Williams. He met with me in some meeting room, rather than an actual office. He had outdated forms that he was following to get my information, and generally looked like he didn’t know what he was doing. The forms looked like they had been copied over so many times that the words were almost hard to read, but he took my information and then said that he would send a rough draft of my documents in the mail for me to sign and return. I never got those documents. I never got a phone call from him with questions, or even to see if I’d gotten the documents. I didn’t really like the paperwork he was “drafting up” or his general unprofessionalism, so I never followed up with him to see why I had never received any documents. Eight months later, I receive a bill from ‘Gaydos Churnside & Balthrop PC’ in the mail in the amount of $427.50. I called and asked what I was being billed for. They put me on hold and then Mark Williams gets on the phone and asks me if I remember meeting with him about eight months prior. I say yes and then remind him that I never had a will drafted up and that I never heard from him after that meeting. I then asked why I was billed $427.50. He said that he sent the bill out for his time. There was never any agreement for me to pay him for meeting with me, only for the documents that were drafted up. These documents never got to me. He told me on the phone that he sent the documents to me and that I am a “liar” for saying otherwise. He was completely unprofessional, didn’t do the job, and then after hearing nothing for 8 months, he tried to bill me for time spent on something I never received.

Mark Williams: extremely knowledgable about comprehensive end-of-life issues, generous with information, sense of humor without being snide, doesn't back down.

Charged me $50 for talking on the phone with them for 5 mins, then charged me another $50 for an e-mail summary of those 5 mins... a real joke. Would recommend staying away if you want to save your money.
