DO NOT USE Russell Bevans. He provided incorrect information to me, but my case should be the least of your concerns. Google his name and your first page of results should be filled with articles about his negligence, malpractice suits, and multiple suspensions of his license to be able to practice law in the state of Oregon. His office and personal appearance provide an immediate feeling of discomfort when you expect to be meeting with a professional. He didn't remember the laws that he claimed to know so he looked them up while we met. I felt so unsure of what he said that I went to see another attorney. It turns out the laws that I watched him read he still did not understand. I walked away from his office with advice to present self incriminating evidence to a judge. Additionally, he told me to ask for more money than I should have which made me look like I had not properly prepared myself for my court case. I hope this serves as a warning to all that consider going with a cut rate attorney. I should have known that my $35 initial consult would only give me what I paid for or less. I called to request my money back and when he finally took my fourth call he flat out refused claiming that he has been doing this for well over 30 years and that he did not give me any wrong information. BEWARE.
