My husband and I asked several lawyer friends in town for a recommendation for a lawyer that focuses on estate law and all of them independently referred us to Patricia Nelson. She created a trust, wills, powers of attorney and advanced directives for us. During this process she competently and patiently answered many questions and educated us. I attended a day class at COCC on estate planning during this process to double check our path and was reassured that Patricia's years of experience had guided us to the best options for us. We highly recommend her services. - Sharon Gutowsky

I recently worked with Trish to rewrite a trust that was originally created in Colorado. What pleased me the most was her willingness to share her knowledge and experience and at the same time honor my desires. In some cases, we had differences of opinion, and I found her to be respectful of my wishes. We worked together to iron out provisions and language so that both of us felt comfortable with the end product. She was willing to explain legal concepts and language, and answered all my questions patiently. I was always treated in a kind and friendly manner, and found her office to be both warm and professional. Estate planning can be a difficult process, but she helped make it as comfortable as possible. I recommend her without question, and will use her services again should the need arise.

Upon finally reaching our vacation destination by car on the east coast, I received a phone call with the information that my sister had died unexpectedly in Bend, Oregon. After flying for 11 hours the next day I arrived at her home in a state of shock, disbelief and deep grief. I didn't know where to turn or what to do next. As executor of my sister's will, the advice I got was, "The first step is to get yourself a probate lawyer." Who in the world to call? I didn't know anyone in Bend, so who could give me a referral? I was lost. Searching online I read Atty. Patricia Nelson's excellent reviews and called her office. "The rest is history," and thank God, that history is nothing but positive. Warmly greeted by Patricia, Hannah (a paralegal) and Glenda (office manager) on each visit to their office, I found myself served by three compassionate and competent professionals. Patricia "Trish" and staff are not only concerned with every detail of the probate process, but also with the wellbeing of their clients. I highly recommend Patricia Nelson to others in order for your particular legal situation to go as smoothly as possible. I could not have done better and I am forever grateful to Patricia, Hannah and Glenda.

Patricia Nelson did a fantastic job creating our Trust in an efficient and timely manner. My husband and I had just a few days before leaving on a vacation together when I contacted Patricia. With no question and very short notice, she was more than willing to dive right in to complete the Trust prior to our departure. We were very pleased with her service and would not hesitate to visit her again for our needs in the future.

Patricia ("Trish") Nelson's estate planning services exceeded my expectations. She helped me to better understand laws that pertain to trust documents and wills. In addition, she guided me through the process of applying the laws to the creation of my detailed, balanced documents.

I have been working with Patricia for over 5 years. She has been my attorney for Estates and Trusts that I administer, as well as the attorney for people that have hired me for fiduciary svcs. Being involved with her as my attorney and my clients attorney I can tell you that she is very thorough, cares about her clients and does her best to advise them of all their options in a kind and caring way. In my opinion she also well respected by her peers and by the court.

My husband and I really LOVED working with Trish. She made a big, scary process doable and actually kinda enjoyable. No one likes thinking about death and hard decisions when they are young, but the piece of mind Trish has given us is so invaluable. I'd highly recommend her and her very professional and friendly staff to support you with your planning needs. 5 stars all the way! A huge thanks to Two Spruce Law!!

I can't say enough good things about Patricia Nelson and her assistance with our Estate Planning. Her support and attention to details as we pondered what might happen to each other and our children if something were to end our lives was kind and thorough. After we completed the process I referred my mother to see her to get her estate in order as well.

Trish helped me with my estate plan. As a single mother, it was important to me that all my bases were covered. Trish was professional, caring, and thorough. Because of her vast experience in probating estates and trusts, she was able to predict many situations and write an estate plan that took into consideration my wishes and what would be best for my children. I have recommended her to my friends and family!

One walks into this law firm, and you know right away this is "different"... warm, welcoming, relaxed. Trish is a natural problem-solver and skilled listener. Not only does she bring great expertise and years of experience/perspective to her practice of law, but also her superior people-skills reveal a profoundly humane, respectful, and compassionate attitude towards guiding a client through a system that can so intimidating and bewidering. However - if your wish is to hire a lawyer who's going to go in with all guns blasting in the name of "protecting your interests" (....meanwhile, charging you and your family a LOT in legal fees to keep the drama going...), be forewarned. That strategy is NOT Trish's. Instead, she will be looking for the most EFFECTIVE, cost-saving solutions for your unique situation. That's why I completely trust her to advocate for me and my family. Indeed, that's what makes her law practice "different," setting the bar much higher! (Pun intended!)

I found Patricia Nelson through internet research when I was looking for legal assistance to protect my vulnerable mother. I'm so glad I found Patricia Nelson and Two Spruce Law! My mother's health was in serious decline, but she had been hiding it from everyone. After thoroughly and comprehensively interviewing my mother, Patricia Nelson created a power of attorney that best suited our needs. It turned out to be the best thing for my mother's future. The power of attorney contained the exact language required for me to be able to help my mother. It stood up to challenges from financial institutions, pension administrators, medical providers, and even members of our own family. My mother is now safe, her health has improved, and her finances are protected. Patricia Nelson's demeanor is professional, yet she is warm and compassionate toward her clients. I couldn't have hoped for a better experience and a better outcome for my mother. If I could rate her higher than five stars, I would!

My wife and I required an updated estate planning after moving from Washington to Oregon. Patricia Nelson and her staff were fabulously thorough, knowledgeable and actually fun to work with.
Our documents were prepared within a reasonable time frame. The updates to our previous documents, by Ms Nelson, handled issues that certainly needed updating as well as some additional scrutiny.
Ms Nelson and her staff were very professional while helping us feel totally comfortable especially regarding providing answers to our questions and concerns.
Two Spruce Law handled our family affairs extremely thoroughly while actually translating the "legalese" to keep us comfortably but confidently informed. In short, Ms Nelson and her staff are wonderful professionals.

Patricia and Hannah were both personally kind and professionally prompt and knowledgeable. They allowed me the space to make decisions while providing the legal guidance I needed every step of the way.
I highly recommend Two Spruce Law!

I've known Paul for over five years. I originally sought his help with a contract to build a home. His knowledge of contract law, building practices, and zoning laws was extremely helpful in avoiding several potential problems before they happened. The reasonable fee he charged was more than offset by the timely value of his advice.

A few years later I was injured in an auto accident. Once again, I sought Paul's advice. His help was crucial in both my physical recovery, and in recovering damages from the insured motorist who hit me.

There are occasions in life when we all find ourselves dealing with an important transaction, or an injury, etc. At those times it's crucial to get good advice and guidance from someone with real expertise in whom we trust. I can recommend Paul Heatherman whole-heartedly as just such a person. He looks after the interests of his clients with a high level of personal attention, integrity, and service.
