I couldn't make any reasonable headway with him and Fortress Financial was able to successfully stop a payroll wage levy that was killing me and set up an installment plan that was doable. Warning Warning this place is a scam. Starting with Mr. Stephen K Galgoczy, Mr. Jeremy R Dickman and Ms. Janet Emerson. They took my money $4,800.00 which was paid in full, and did not take care of my tax situation. From 2017 until 2019 nothing has been done to fix my tax situation and now they are asking for more money to resolve my problem. Recieved unsolicited communications from this company. They refuse to tell me where or how they got my information. Only that it was a "third party." They are "contractually required" to not tell me where they are getting my information from allowing them to harass me.

I interviewed several tax resolution services. Fortress provided references. My experience with Fortress and their attorney, David Feldman, matched up with the references. David guided me through what was a very scary situation with the IRS. And what was finally negotiated was fair. This is a company that can be trusted.

This business is by far nothing but a scam they will take your money run and treat you like garbage they recently ripped off a friend of mine they charged her money never chose to help her out I did nothing but cheat her out of her money it’s sad to watch a Business take it advantage of hard-working people their reviews are fake their business is nothing but a shady scam. Dealing with tax authorities is stressful for everyone involved. A good legal team helps reduce the stress to a manageable level. While I was not able to get the offer in compromise that I had hoped for, David Feldman was able to help me obtain a reasonable installment agreement, while keeping the IRS from affecting my business while we worked on it. Some of the reviews here say Fortress is a bunch of scam artists. The scam artist is the IRS. You have to understand that the IRS is unpredictable. They do things that they are not supposed to do, often through automated systems that make mistakes. It takes hours to get things straightened out if you know what you are doing...even longer if you try to do it yourself. The unpredictable nature of the IRS and the way they "witch hunt" makes the cost of representation unpredictable as well. Stick with Fortress and talk about your options and what the probability and cost of each outcome and its corresponding cost of representation will be in order to take the best path for you. Work with your lawyer to try and predict all possible moves the IRS will make before you get started down any one path. This will help you be prepared and make the best possible choices. I can't thank Fortress Financial enough for helping us with a very intense tax situation and representing us professionally with utmost respect, dignity, clarity, and patience throughout this process. We could not have achieved as much as we have without David Petzinger and Lori Ferris. There were periods of time where we defaulted the Installment Agreements with the IRS and State that Fortress set up for us and they called me immediately to let me know that they were on top of the default and reinstated the Installment agreements very quickly. I have been working with Fortress Financial Services Attorney and Assistant for the better part of 6+ years now on both IRS and State issues. My Attorney was able to obtain a very agreeable settlement with the State of New York and the IRS for me a very agreeable settlement with the State of New York for my husband. Fortress Financial, my Attorney and his Assistant had nothing but understanding and compassion and were diligent on my and my husband’s cases. I made a rush and impulsive decision in hiring Fortress Financial services 6+ years ago but based on my current situation and all the hard work they have and will continue doing on our case, it was the best decision I ever made.

I was so upset to say the least; IRS had come to my business to do an Audit and to go over all my assets. The IRS was also threatening to levy my business bank accounts and account receivables. I was literally beside myself, I spoke to my sister and she said that her husband had hired Fortress Financials Services and received outstanding service and his case was resolved to his liking. They recommended me to Mr. Petzinger who was the Attorney who helped them and resolved all their tax debts and was easy to work with and always did what he said he would do. I definitely recommend Fortress Financial Services, David P. and Lori F. whenever I got a letter or threat to levy my accounts I would call very upset and ask to speak to David's Assistant Lori, she would first and foremost settle me down and advise that David had received the notices and had already contacted the IRS on my behalf. Once she calmed me down she went through a list of documents needed, I was so impressed that they had already contacted the IRS each and every time regarding the notices and had a plan in place.

I would get out of compliance and someway they would protect me from Levies and garnishments until I could get back into compliance. Fortress helped me with all my tax issues and even educated me on how to organize and take proper care of paying my taxes and filing my returns on time. They even sent me a calendar showing when the tax deposits were required and when the tax returns were needed. Because I was running a very small business Lori would always call me to make sure I was staying in compliance until I could get somebody hired to take care of the tax payments and return filings.

Throughout this process they have been nothing but kind and considerate and helpful, we are now awaiting a Settlement with the IRS and State and based on how thorough they were in submitting my financials and how very determined they have been to get this settled, I have not doubt that me and my husband who is on disability will receive a small settlement and be able to enjoy our future years together.

I am so thankful Fortress Financial called me to offer their services. Hiring them was one of the smartest things I have done this year! I am confident in the direction “my team” is heading. My case is extremely convoluted by multiple Revenue Officer assignments, tax examinations, and very aggressive collections. When we found ourselves in need of advice in dealing with our IRS issues that were beyond our abilities and the abilities of our accountant, we contacted Fortress Financial Services, Inc. in Bend, OR and were put in touch with Mr. Dickman at their office. We found Mr. Dickman to be conversant in of the Internal Revenue Code Sections that addressed our issues. We agreed to a flat fee and to payment options which allowed us to continue to work with them. He and his assistant, Ms. Link, spent considerable time both by e-mail correspondence and on the phone with us, we are in CA they are in OR, discussing our issues. He showed personal concern about our status and was always honest in his assessment of our situation. He knew how to address the requests from the IRS and to tailor the responses to meet their demands. He was able to reach the necessary units of the Internal Revenue Service to find the answers to our unique and complicated issue. We were able, with his efforts, to come to a compromise and agreement with the IRS that we were able to live with. His generous giving of his personal time and efforts were very professional and compassionate with effective results. Although he is not required to keep in contact with us since the issues have been resolved, he sends a friendly "hello" to see how we are doing. Hopefully, we will not need his services again, but if the need arose, we would use their company.
