Do not use this firm for family law cases. I went to Malcolm Copple for my custody case and initially he gave me this real solid plan that I was completely on board with. Being an Army veteran, I figured he would be a good lawyer taking my situation and being a veteran myself. Over time he excessively communicated with me racking up over $700 in communication fees. He changed his tactics several times and eventually dropped all original ideas he had when I first retained him.
Finally, he started making calls in my cases without consulting me, talking to the other lawyer and judge and not telling me the details. He started to try and make deals without actually informing me either. Finally, when it came down to my request to fight for custody of my daughter he started to try and force me to settle for very little custody.
When I told him that I did not want to settle for such a little amount, I asked him for the time being to continue communication over email as he was racking up so much fees. Instead of respecting my wish, he filed motions in my case without consulting me and submitted a motion to withdraw. He actually tried to sabotage my case in retaliation with the motions he submitted.
He is extremely unprofessional and unorganized. He never did a single thing I requested him to do. After changing attorneys I found out he didn't even submit the Mandatory Disclosure even after he told me he did.
His final attempt to file the excessive motions was actually an attempt to wipe out the rest of my retainer before withdrawing. I am sure they might be great at criminal cases, but when it comes to family law they do not fight for their clients. They are too worried about their reputation with the judges and their own quotas to actually fight for what's fair and right.
Any fathers reading this, please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Last year I was charged with DOG AT LARGE. Malcolm Copple successfully argued the charge claiming that the statute could not possibly apply because my dog is so little.
