Maggie Ryan is the best of the best in Idaho for family law. She is crazy smart and knows the complex laws and court rules inside and out. What's more is she knows how each of the Judges work differently and I felt this was critical. I went through several of the top divorce attorney's in town before hiring Maggie. The best thing about working with Maggie was she genuinely cared about me and my kids through a very ugly and difficult divorce. I could feel it each time she met with me. I hired Charles Bauer to handle my divorce on the recommendation of a colleague who had been quite happy with him some time ago. While my ex-wife and I did not end up going to trial, we did have a few legal tussles along the way to a settlement. She, and her attorney(s), were fairly aggressive in demanding certain things from me -- in the form of money, custody of our son, and more generally, a settlement that suited her. Chuck was a good guide through these various exchanges. He acted as a voice of reason for me, when my inclination was to respond emotionally. The one time we did go to court (to deal with a couple of petitions filed by my ex), he did a great job. In the end, she and I settled. However, the post-settlement has been almost as tumultuous as the period between filing and settling, and Chuck has been just as effective in handling my responses to what seems to be a continuous stream of demands from my ex.

I recommend him without reservation.

I had a wonderful experience with Doug. My ex had taken everything away from me: wanted supervision, no time with kids, child-support was outrageous. Everything was all to my disadvantage. Bauer Ryan law firm was a class act from day one! I was referred to the firm by a friend who had been a client of Bauer Ryan. She knew my case may get complicated. As it turns out she was right! My case was complicated, and this was the best firm to help me through it all. Chuck, Doug, Maggie and Launa helped me through one of the most difficult (and at times scary) things I’ve been through. While all four of them are very knowledgeable and professional, each brings a little something different to the table and they work splendidly as a team. Doug was thorough, thoughtful (both legally and personally), precise, attentive, aggressive, and above all else worked diligently on my behalf. He listened to my goals in the case and worked with reason and high standards to achieve them for me. With every interaction they were honest with me about what I could expect. By far the worst experience ever. $30,000 into a 2 year battle and Chuck and his law firm got.me the worst possible outcome. He continued to lie to make us believe there was something positive coming. We continued to pay Chuck and told him we were here to fight for what's right. The other attorney brought every little thing up that made me look bad while Chuck ignored all the things we wanted to be presented. He got walked all over in court. I've never been charged with any crime related to this case and yet Chucks team failed to get me my rights to my daughter. This is the last law firm I would recommend!
