If I could rate this law firm a 0 star I would. Divorce is a hard thing to go through and I put my complete trust in the ladies here. I heard they were “amazing” and would treat me with nothing but respect. After I gave them money and signed all the contracts everything turned and the disrespect was horrible. I’ve never ever experienced lawyers that scream and tell a stay at home, mentally abused,& depressed mother that I Should lose everything. Why? Because I cried and dyed my hair ( something I’ve always wanted to do). I’ll never recommend such horrible service. I never met the male, but still heard he is the only good one there. Oh, and they didn’t even defend me in court! Just agreed with my ex’s lawyer and never told the judge HE WAS LYING ABOUT EVERYTHING. The ladies here are good friends with most of the lawyers, so be careful. They all talk. In my opinion, this place needs to be looked at and the ladies need to look in the mirror before acting like they are better then their PAYING clients. I went somewhere else and I was terrified when they told me I shouldn’t. And I WON. Because I wasn’t wrong. I’m not a bad mother. But this place made me feel that way.

Jeff Banks - best attorney. He represented a family member in a divorce case and did an excellent job. Family member’s ex’s attorney had an expert witness that Mr. Banks had testifying for my family member by the time the case was over. He is straight forward and very clear as to what he can and will do. He is well worth the money. I would never go anywhere else for legal help.

Jeff banks is someone i would recommend to anyone. The whole staff has been great and very understanding. Jeff predicted what would happen both times I had used his knowledge.... he is a smart and very witty attorney. He will definitely have your opponent and their attorney jumping through hoops..... if he thinks your wrong he will tell you and advise you on things you should do. My kids had been taken from me by a vindictive ex wife. I trusted Jeff whole heartily and knew I would prevail in the end...... I can assure you Jeff wanted what was best for my kids and delivered big results..... he is a straight forward man and calls a spade a spade but he is also a very caring person as well...... he is and always will be my attorney of choice...... from my kids and myself a big thank you to you and your team........

I paid over $25,000 and didn’t see results. He was never very prepared and couldnt remember things I had discussed with him. Couldn’t even remember my kids names in court. He kept asking the same things over and over again. He messed up in court by not adding my two main witnesses as expert witnesses which made it so they couldn’t testify which destroyed my whole case....the only he said when it happened was “that’s my fault” but still made me paid $1000 to the witnesses for their time and about $1000 in His time in preparation and time in court for those witnesses. It was a joke. I also asked him to do a reconsideration on several items the judge messed up on after his judgement came back. These were mistakes that could have been proved by the court recordings but He only filed a reconsideration on one of the 5 times which ended up costing me time with my kids. My ex got more time with my kids because of his mistakes!!!!! He wouldn’t reimburse my money for his mistakes. Seemed like he was only for the money.

Laurie is a confident, competent, tenacious, intelligent, to-the-point, and all-around excellent lawyer! She will fight to give her clients their best possible outcome. Laurie and all of the staff communicates clearly, listens, advocates, and acts decisively. I highly recommend her!

Challis McNally was recommended to me as a strong, intelligent, advocate for a difficult case involving a very contentious family issue. I interviewed several potential attorneys and she was the only one whom I actually felt listened and had an understanding of the legal aspects of my families situation. Her knowledge and quiet self assurance made us sure that She would be able to skillfully negotiate the emotional issues of the case and apply the relevant legal issues so that the resolution would be positive for my family.
I learned through the process, that I had been accused by opposing counsel of many untrue and nefarious things. (What’s new, right?) Challis vehemently challenged and overcame those allegations and proved them to be the absolute nonsense they were, while protecting my family from those hurtful allegations. She was able to do that because of her experience and the fact that she had prepared and done the research to know our case and the issues of our case. She took the time and patience to get to know us. In my opinion she understands that while this is her job, it is her clients life. It must be difficult to move from one emotionally charged confrontation to the next, and give it your attention, compassion, and energy, to successfully advocate your clients case, time and again. Terrible people. Money hungry uncaring people. Will have you thinking you're on top of the world and then court hits and all of a sudden they back out of everything they said you would get as a conclusion. Paid over 4000 dollars to Jeffery banks for an amendment to custody. After over a year of drawn out dates ended up with almost exactly what I had before. Garbage people to their core

Jeff Banks represented me in a lengthy family law case. During that time, he showed great insight and offered reasonable options as we progressed. Laurie Gaffney, refuses to communicate with clients. Furthermore she will submit documents that have not only not been approved by the client but expressly told not to submit them in favor of documents that have been approved. A warning to all men thinking about using this firm- to the best of my knowledge there is only one male employee here and while they may profess to wanting to help you I believe they’re in it just for the money and as a whole are man-haters.

Challis Mcnally was AMAZING!! I highly recommend her if you need someone on your side! She is attentive, caring and delivers in the end! I know there is no guarantee that your case will win, but with her in your corner, your going to have the best shot!! She excelled when other attorneys (I only went through 5 before her(for the same case) have not! I cannot thank you enough Challis! Your a game changer!

Laurie initially bonded with me by lightening the mood and making fun of her other clients. I should have know that lack of professionalism was a bad sign.
I paid for hours of meeting, phone calls, and emails putting together a solid case on the asset division of my divorce. I spent hours getting information and documentation together. After a slow start, she filed the wrong motion initially and left holes that allowed for the other attorney to file for different hearings etc, we finally got to court nearly a year later. The day of court she "forgot" about the many facts that were evidence. I nudged her and quietly brought a few of them up during the hearing by whispering of writing her notes. Her response was very angrily telling me the information was irrelevant or "stupid". That was the word she used for the information she asked me to get to her. I felt it was an absolute waste of my time and money.
The final settlement has several loopholes in it and I can't really enforce it.
Please use another attorney. She should not be practicing.

I was very disappointed in Ms. Gaffney. She promised so many thing and talked real tough. When it came down to court there was no communication AT ALL. As she walked with my daughter to court. She asked her now how old are your children and what are their ages. My daughter found out she had court the night before. The whole time my daughter was emailing the paralegal, that paralegal had quit. No one had informed her. Long story short we ended up paying a lot of money for very little work and found a new attorney.

The worst lawyer you could hire, please do not hire this lawyer, she will suck you dry and talk trash behind your back to the opposite lawyer, believe me I thought she was good until I had her and I am beating myself up every day. My advise, run from this lawyer.

dont even deserve a star if you want someone who doesnt talk to you let alone update you on your case go here! i could of had my divorce papers turned in and it would of been done before they ever got started on the case. they were all really nice but you have to practicly babysit them if you want something done

I just asked Ms. Gaffney to help me in a divorce matter where I fired my attorney for a list of reasons and she told me she didn't want to get involved. My children are being taken away from me in 5 days and I need help to stop it! I have the email from her to prove this statement. I am wondering if it was because I refused to pay her the $295 for a chance to meet her and see if I want to hire her. I really don't like attorneys and my father was a NY state judge!
