Unsatisfied with my visit today - I had called to see if they could help me complete a specific fingerprint form for my future employment and after being transferred five times, I was at the right office and they said that they do that. I drove into town, paid the fee and waited for the officer to process my fingerprints. He was kind and when he presented the form, I informed him that it was not the kind I needed. After explaining my situation, he said he was unable to help me at the moment. I went back to the desk and waited to be helped - I requested a refund as they couldn't do my fingerprints on the form I needed. The two ladies argued with me a bit, agreed to refund me, then gave me back the wrong refund (she took my receipt - it had the dollar amount listed.)
I completely understand if they don't have the form I needed, but I specifically asked about it when I called before coming into Austin, and again before I paid for the copies. Their customer service and attitudes need to be adjusted if they want to provide a positive experience. I will not be using the Austin Law Enforcement for my future needs if I can help it.
