I wouldn't have just saved money had I went pro se, I would probably still be a father...this firm proved to be just another cog in the machine that eats dads for breakfast! Through out this whole divorce not 1 single word was spoken on my behalf defending my character against such lies and agression of the family court system...I am left a shell of who I was a year ago...I complied with all the hoops and did more that any broken hearted man would and now I am left wondering who is protect my baby girl from the evil that lives in that island city. Opal drove the final stake of alienation into my exposes heart. For 9k you could have tried to make it painless, or quick. I will haunt all who doubted me when I am gone.

Ms. Richards did a VERY VERY poor job of representing us in our custody case with my wife's abusive and diagnosed "Paranoid Schizophrenic" ex-husband. She got us half way through, and then demanded that we pay her $10,000.00 IMMEDIATELY or she was going to quit. Our contract said that she has the right to demand an additional retainer to cover additional coasts and what not. The problem is; our retainer was only $2,000.00 and we owed, supposedly, $2,500.00 additionally (that we were making payments on FAITHFULLY and would have continued to do so). That only comes to $4,500.00 by my count. We told her up front that we don't have money like that; so she knew we would never be able to pay that much. Now she is threatening to send the $2,500.00 she claims we still owe her to collections. We still have to find another attorney, because we have a evidenceiary hearing coming up, due to the terrible job she did representing us in our first hearing, and we need to protect her youngest children from any further parental alienation and emotional abuse from their father. Honestly; if I could leave zero stars I would.

Opal is the reason people hate lawyers. I understand that a lawyer's duty is to represent their client, but at what cost? How do family law people like her look themselves in the mirror at the end of the day? They don't care about family, children, relationships...they just want to win. I'm so glad I found a great lawyer who was able to put Ms. Richards in her place, and win rights to my 4 beautiful children. Had she won for my ex, I would rarely get to see them...would not get to be a father to them. I won my case nearly two years ago...and...shocker- things have gone great. I have my children nearly 50% of the time. Opal, you're a disgusting human being, and ought to be ashamed of yourself for making a career out of ruining families.

I love this lawyer and the Secretary.. Very kind ladies. Good at what they do.

Opal is friendly and caring, but the process was delayed by very poor response time and delayed communication. I am still trying to follow up with questions regarding billing and do not get a response.
