So I'm confused and go back home. I emailed Tom and he tells me to make an appointment and we will talk. Few days later I go back in for my appointment to have the receptionist tell me that Tom isn't in office and his associate will be going through paperwork with me. Would have been nice to have a heads up if he wasn't going to be in that day.
I go into the office, sign all the paperwork and ask my questions. Everything went well. Met with Tom a few times for more paperwork and information about my job and the accident. He was very attentive and seem genuinely caring. After that, silence and crickets. I emailed Tom multiple times for updates and only once after six months does he email me back saying, it's taking some time because of paperwork. Okay, I get that cases can't be predicable but I feel that it's courtesy to update your client on their case or if he just sent a reply saying that it might be a few more months because of paperwork instead of out rightly ignoring my messages.
Nothing again for seven months. Then one day I finally get an voicemail from his assistant, Patsy, asking me if I would like them to pay the remainder of my hospital bills and then sent the check or just have the check sent out and I will pay the bill myself. Since I was at work this time and they will be closed when I get off, I decided to call on my break tomorrow.
Tomorrow comes and as I'm about to call Patsy back. I already have a voicemail waiting for me. She informs me they already paid the bill and I should be expecting a check in the mail.
At this point, I'm super annoyed. First off, receptionist was rude when I got there and Tom wasn't in the day we were suppose to meet.
Secondly, they never updated me on my case even when I asked. I feel like I shouldn't even have to ask. My case went in for over a year.
Thirdly, how hard is it to wait until the next day for your client to reply to your voicemail!
And to top everything off, the check I received was only 5 Grand!!!
5 Grand for a totalled car, months of injury/recovery and loss of income. That is what they got me for my settlement. 5 Grand!!!! For over a year fighting my case and my settlement was this little! Probably just had my case stacked with everyone else's, just waiting to cash in their checks.
I do not recommend this place. Very unprofessional. Waste of time and money.
Thank you Scott!
