The short story is I hired Attorney Mehlos to help me fight a battery charge. The real story is Corey helped me through the worst year of my life.
The short: I was being attacked and called the police. When they arrived I did not want the "attacker" arrested, because it was really just an argument that went to far and I was not injured. That being the case I did not say anything other than "Thanks for coming. Everything is okay". Unfortunately the other party was very mad and completely lied to the police and I was arrested. I was innocent and it was frustrating because they also too things that were said completely out of context.
From day 1, Attorney Mehlos and I came up with a plan and continued to refine our strategy until the prosecutor dismissed the battery charge, before we were to go to trial. It took 12 months to get it done and it nearly killed me. Obviously there is a lot more to it, but I am not writting a book! LOL
There was a lot of back and forth with the Prosecutor Assistant D.A. and the Judges. It was completely overwhelming at times to be an innocent man who has never been convicted of any crime and yet it seemed that everyone except Attorney Mehlos assumed I was guilty.
It was comforting to know that Attorney Mehlos was confident and prepared to win at trial. The prosecutor eventually released knowing he’d have a tough case. Yet on multiple occasions Attorney Mehlos told me to trust him and the result was exactly what he predicted.

A couple months after I had turned 18. I was charged with felonies and misdemeanors. That were exaggerated. Corey was my attorney from the start. He always made sure to let me know everything that is going on and explaining everything he is going to do. Duh deep into the case to get charges dismissed. I was falsely accused of First Degree Sexual Assault and the prosecutor was recommending nearly 10 years of prison and that I register as a sex offender for a crime I didn't commit. Even though I was innocent, the prosecutor claimed that DNA evidence and a report from a forensic nurse showed that I was guilty. The judge set bond at $150,000 at first so I was stuck in jail. I hired Attorney Mehlos to represent me. He immediately went to work and got bond cut in half so I could be released from jail. From there, he worked with my constantly for 12 months, identifying evidence that proved my accuser has previously lied and made false accusations, and created a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet documenting every contradiction she made between her stories to police. Attorney Mehlos destroyed the forensic and DNA evidence, showing
how it actually backed up my claim of innocence. At my codefendant's trial, Attorney Mehlos appeared with his intern, took copious notes and gave hours of feedback to my codefendant's Attorney to help them win at trial. As a result, my codefendant was found not guilty, and the State agreed to dismiss all of my charges without even having to go to trial. I would recommend corey to anyone he is the real deal.
