I am very thankful for all that the attorney's and support staff at Maine Community Law Center have done to help me through a difficult divorce and trying time in my life.

I feel fortunate to have received legal services at an affordable rate. I had perceived divorce as otherwise unattainable due to expensive legal fees. MCLC made legal services available to me by making the entire process affordable.

My attorney led me step-by-step assisting in the details, contacting me in a timely manner, updating me in the issues particular to my divorce, guiding and informing me of necessary paperwork and procedures.

I cannot say enough of how thankful and grateful I am for their work and support in my case. I am very grateful for MCLC and their commitment to the community. A very special thanks to the attorney’s and support staff at Maine Community Law Center.

We were treated like 2nd class citizens. About 1/3rd the cost and 1/3rd the representation. From the director, to Brian our attorney, we were treated like we were a hassle and not worthy of even a handshake. They do not respond as they promise and would not let me assist my partner in the initial meeting with Brian to go over our very heartbreaking situation. Do yourself a favor and hire an attorney where you are treated with respect, dignity, and where they return calls and emails and understand that even people with low incomes need to be treated with respect. Lastly, they did not return important exhibits that are needed for a court case.

Had the pleasure of working with Amanda LaBelle through my divorce. I had never interacted with anything on the legal/court/ attorney front and Amanda made it an extremely smooth and friendly process. The price was very reasonable. She explained everything in plain language for a clueless person like me and was always quick to answer my many probably very confusing questions. Not to mention she went above and beyond to make the process as easy and sensible for me and my situation. I appreciated this so much during a obviously difficult time in my life, because worrying about court documents was very from my mind. I HIGHLY recommend Amanda and the Maine Community Law Center to other Mainers who are looking for legal assistance!!

Treated like 2nd class citizen! Representation was 1/4 what it should have been! Matthew didn't listen or do things we asked even to the point of getting important things(subpoenas)in order for trial. Completely blew off requests and kept saying "the guardian ad litem is all we need" no subpoena was ever sent to anyone we asked and who agreed to come in the end the judge even commented that the case was insufficient due to lack of representation! Paid for what we could have done ourselves for free which was paperwork only! Representation was nul and void

They need to represent people truly in need. Representing someone single, who is skiing for the winter season and renting a slopeside ski condo, is hardly someone that can't afford legal representation. They are a scam. They need to have their non-profit status removed. Tyler Lauzon her attorney is new to practicing and just trying to get court cases for his resume. Called me an "Innkeeper"?????
