I felt like I was left in the dark through the whole process. I went through a divorce with this firm and the guidance and support was severely lacking leaving me with hefty attorney bills and a hefty alimony payment. I also just realized that at some point during the process, an item that was previously agreed to was changed leaving me to not even be able to claim my children on my taxes in alternating years. I feel the attorney should have been more involved in explaining what was going on and was even told at one session that my case was not the most important one that they had to deal with at that point. I get it yuou have lots of clients at one time, but that's really unprofessional.

The saga continues. I emailed Ryan Johnson under the advice of another attorney to get in touch with my ex wife's attorney regarding some matters that she was not compliant on. I received a call from the secretary asking where to send the info? I explained that the attorney I was working with was not dealing with those matters as my previous attorney, Alyssa should have been able to send an email to my ex's attorney to list the non compliance. I received a call back from the secretary again saying they weren't taking new cases. Wow.

We hired Ryan 3 years ago for a custody dispute. From the start we got what we were going for which was sole custody. Then after things escalated over the years he did my step daughters entire adoption from beginning to end. Her adoption was not only affordable but I didn’t have to worry about a thing. I was expecting this lawsuit to take years to come to a settlement and he cut that time in more than half, while also keeping me informed and providing support where I needed it. Todd Taylor is great to work with! He listens to what you want and fights for what you deserve. His calm demeanor is very refreshing in dealing with stressful situations. He was wonderful in dealing with the insurance company after my accident. It was really nice to have someone who knew the laws and knew how to get me the compensation I deserved. I wouldn't have been able to do that on my own.

I understand now why Ryan Johnson was recommended to me, he proved to be invaluable to the entire process of the divorce. Ryan is very upfront, he informs you on what you need to hear for possible outcomes and really sets you up so you are prepared. He was always there when I needed him and answered every question and concern I had without leaving me wondering what was next. He took the time to explain everything and was always quick to help (I called and emailed a lot!). 1: My initial call to Johnson and Taylor was 5 stars. The lady that answered the phone looked into my questions regarding availability to be seen that same day plus a few other things and called me back within 15 minutes. She scheduled my appointment for 3 hours later. Awesome!!

2: Alyssa was able to squeeze me in for a new client consult on the same day. I think I got lucky and called right time but anyway... When she called me into her office she was ready to go. She explained all the lawyer confidentiality stuff and got right down to business. She was so thorough and to the point (something I greatly appreciate) my initial consult only took 30 minutes and I had all the answers I needed. From there we replied via email a few times (she's quick to reply) and got things handled regarding my custody and child support concerns. At the time of this review it was just a consult but I did agree to hire her to update a parenting plan and custody order. I would highly recommend her to my friends and family.

I worked with Don Johnson on a situation that involved my disabled sister's financial care. He took care of court communication and other little details of the case which was very helpful to me, especially since I'm in another state. If I ever need this type of legal assistance again, I will certainly contact Don.

My daughter recommended Ryan to me because she had a great experience with him. My experience has been fabulous! I wanted to take a moment and thank Ryan Johnson at Johnson and Taylor, Personal Injury and Family Law, for his assistance representing me in my divorce almost five years ago. I wanted to write the review now as I am planning on retaining Ryan again to represent me in a "Change of Judgment" I am filing to garner more visitation of my children. During the process of my divorce he was always prompt, fair and realistic and kept costs to a minimum as the divorce was uncontested and we settled out of court. I highly recommend Ryan and his firm in any litigation you need assistance with.

Ryan Johnson made the nerve wracking experience of dealing with legal issues very simple and pain free. He was upfront with his recommended strategy on how to handle my case and provided a well thought out plan incorporating aspects I had not thought about. Ryan followed through with his actions quickly and immediately reported the results. I was actually stunned at how fast he was able to wrap up my case successfully.

Ryan Johnson represented me in reopening my divorce and child support agreement against my ex, who is also an attorney. He was always prompt and respectful, his staff very helpful, and I believe he gave excellent advice on strategy. From the beginning, he was clear about what I was asking for and what was a reasonable expectation of outcome. He was dead right, too.
Because of time and circumstances, it had become a very complex issue. I had long since moved from Salem to Portland, and my original attorney retired. The plaintiff dragged her feet and it appeared it would be a long, protracted court case, there had already been almost 10 pleadings and status conferences. The entire time, I felt comfortable with him representing me. Ryan pressed all the issues firmly, and through the court kept her feet to the fire, and ultimately convinced her to settle. Throughout, I thought he was fair and kind, and he even advised me when I was being unreasonable. To this day, my ex still complains what a persistent, tenacious opponent he was.
When it was all finalized, the cost was less than what he had estimated to be the upper end, with a lot more court appearances than he had expected.
Since then, I have consulted him multiple times for other legal issues, and have found his advice to be well thought and fair.
