I feel it is unsafe to operate a motor vehicle in Larimer County because of their insane over-prosecution of traffic laws, and things I have seen happen to my friends. The police are charging people with fake DUIs, among other things. I will never support any business in this county and believe that citizen's Constitutional rights are being violated daily with pretextual traffic stops, and fishing for information to make money and ruin a driver's life. It's one of the shadiest counties in the United States as far as I am concerned. This county is also one of the many reasons I try not to drive unless I am going on a longer road trip. The government slogan here should be "guilty until proven guilty." Sorry Ft. Collins. It's a shame that such an awesome town is in a county with horrendous motives.

Although they are a governmental office, the people I worked with seem to be compassionate and care about helping.

An archaic system compared to other counties with denying emailed documents.
Edit:
For 5 months several people from the DA's office falsely told me I had a fair case to receive victims compensation from someone who ran me off the road, and that it was safe to rack up transportation fees. I spent months gathering information and working with the larimar DA office staff. On the day of Court hours before the restitution hearing I received a call saying the case didnt fall under restitution guidelines.

Larimer County DA Cliff Reidel should be on Saturday Night Live. The man doesn't understand the Constitution of the United States. When I confronted a screwball who was deliberately breaking the branches of my shrubs, the screwball hurled obscenities at me in response, mostly with the "F" word, then made a veiled threat against my life. This was all captured on video and the sheriff's dept reviewed the video and turned it over to Mr. Reidel. Reidel refused to prosecute. When I asked him why he explained to me that it would be a violation of the screwball's right to freedom of speech. But as any attorney knows, obscenities and threats to kill someone are not protected speech under the United States Constitution. Does Reidel need to go back to law school? Should the Larimer County taxpayers foot the bill so he can? And how about how his failure to prosecute impacts the wrongdoers, teaching them they can get away with crimes, so that they'll wantonly commit more of them? This DA is not capable of protecting the citizens of Larimer County, and should be recalled.
