It took me about a year to decide if I should file, I spoke with debt consolidators and "get out of debt now companies" none of them seem to be for me my credit was getting worse by the day going those companies make it sound good But! they will still cost and your credit is still terrible they win you lose so I decided to file or at least talk to a lawyer I found Burke Smith Law on-line after meeting with Mr. Smith I knew in my heart I was doing the right thing and I knew I could trust him my instincts were correct it was a stress free process I was shaking Mr. Smiths hand before leaving the court house the last thing I said to him is "Thank you for everything....Will you please always be my attorney?" and he said yes :) I honestly feel safe knowing he's my attorney

All together terrible experience working with Burke. I should have had a voice recorder, because he says one thing and then does another. Be prepared to submit information numerous times because he’s disorganized.

When we first met Burke and Dana we were brand new parents and found ourselves in medical debt from our daughter being in the NICU, myself contracting an infection from the hospital. No one voluntarily chooses Bankruptcy, but when circumstances make other options unworkable, Burke and Dana made the process a whole lot more bearable.

I knew i was in a serious situation but put it off until my bank account was getting hit. Initial consult was straightforward, fees were clearly laid out and a reasonable payment schedule was set up. if you keep proper records and bring them with you, the process is very smooth. If I had to do it again, I would have contacted Burke at the first sign of trouble instead of trying to play catch up. So far a great experience, going to my "meeting" next week but have full confidence my rating will stand.

Friendly but is afraid to do heavy lifting. If its complicated I wouldn't recommend.

Mr. Smith is amazing. He definitely knows his stuff. I came in to his office in quite the pickle. He treated me as a person and not as a customer in need of a sales pitch. This guy is very professional and straight to the point. You can be honest with him, he is a good guy for sure. Every time i was in doubt, and was worried about something as far as my debt was concerned or how this process will work, he would always make me feel like everything was OK. Now i had my doubts don't get me wrong. However he walked me through the whole process and has been their for me since then. Every time scamming debt collectors called me, he's been their for me. Even after we closed the deal on my bankruptcy. He is an amazing guy and the risk and trust I put into a guy I new nothing about was well worth it. I would trust this guy with anything his services have to offer. Bankruptcy's can be expensive sure. But he is a person just like most of us with a problem, and understands that, well if were coming to him we must be in some financial trouble. So he does accept payments. Just don't blow smoke with the guy is all I have to say. Remember when you hire him, he's working for you, not the debt collectors. He is here for us.
