Robert has been AMAZING. I was involved in an awful situation with the apartments I was in. Robert took it into his own hands & had me stress-free until things were cleared. I appreciate his efforts & helpful advice & HIGHLY recommend him & he will be the first I call for any other mishaps!

This man is the best in town. Knows his law and his court staff relationships are next to no one. He is a pillar of integrity in the Niles community and has devoted his career to being there for his clients day and night. His office staff is top notch and have the organizational skills to run a corporate law firm. Easy and convenient pay system allows anyone who may need legal assistance to afford it. If you are in need of legal counsel contact this man IMMEDIATELY you will not regret it.

We worked with Robert to gain sole custody of our grandson, which we were recently awarded. It was not always easy to communicate with Robert and I was sometimes frustrated he did not share more details of his strategy. But he was very nice, responsive, and not condescending, and we got the outcome we wanted.

Not only is he a great guy but he is also an awsome lawyer. He helped me with a civil case and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommendable. He is a busy guy though but that doesn’t mean he isn’t doing his best.

Mr. jo jo.....I want to thank Robert root for all the work you have done..never once did u ever set me up or not shown up..Jo Jo you have the wrong attitude towards this attorney.. I know from experience that he will do everything in his power to help a person out..even the fact u said he filed a motion for you for free ..your brother never paid him like he promise so as to any attorney they would drop from the case..I highly recommend him to all my family and friends..keep up the good work attorney Robert root

Wouldn't recommend this attorney for anything. He was handling my daughters case per an agreement between him & her uncle. (unsure if her uncle paid him or not) He filed a continuance for 30 days on her case. Two days before her court date he calls the court withdrawing as her attorney leaving her no time to get a public defender & going to court without an attorney. His secretary said he tried to contact her via phone and could not reach her. But he had to have known he was going to withdrawal at least a week or 2 prior to her court date. He had a valid address for her & could have at least sent a letter giving her time to get a public defender rather than have her appear in court without an attorney. In my opinion this was very unprofessional on his end. Which makes me wonder if he handles his court cases this way also?

As I said after this incident with him,I strongly recommend looking into other attorneys.

He is not only an unprofessional attorney, but a liar on top of it all. After just receiving a phone call from him,he stated that the uncle never paid paid him which I can understand that he does not work for free. He also stated he sent several letters to the address listed when he took the case to which were never received & called everyone on the contact list including me to get the message that my number had been disconnected. My phone has been on for over 3 years with the same number. So I know that was a lie. Hire at your own risk.

Just to clear up a few for the posters below that cannot comprehend simple spelling. I agree my daughter should not have gotten in trouble,so that point is mute. My chief complaint here is not the fact that he did not represent my daughter. I stated that he had an agreement between himself & my daughters uncle. I never expected him to work for free nor asked him. My chief reason for this bad review is that fact that he never bothered taking the time to mail a letter stating he was going to withdraw even though we got every piece of mail at the address except for the ones he "said" he mailed and withdrew 2 days before the hearing without notice leaving my daughter with no time to get representation. Odd that the postman would deliver the rest & not his letter is it not? Also the fact that he said he called my phone several times and the number had been disconnected. Sorry to disappoint, but I have had the same phone number for over 3 years with no interruptions in service. If he had contacted me before withdrawing from the case I would have gladly paid him. So where does that leave us? That leaves us with the fact that he straight lied about the letters & phone calls to me. What kind of character does that show in someone that is representing anyone in a court of law? Answer me that please.

Dear Joe Jo,
With all due respect, this attorney that you are speaking of has gone above and beyond for me. He is an amazing attorney. Maybe you should point the finger in the right direction. You should not look a gift horse in the mouth, then proceed to poke it the rear. It isn't fun for anyone. So please stop being a worthless excuse for a human being, and blame your loved one for screwing up. It is not his fault. Also, I have a hard time believing that he did not contact you at all. What that sounds like to me is that you are trying to get something for nothing. I am almost certain of that. I am also certain that you are 1of those type of people that are not happy unless you have something to complain about. Judging by your previous reviews that you have posted on line I find this to be true. Next time return a phone call, respond to his letters, or just stop in his office. That seems to be the best way to handle this situation. I have never met a more patient and understanding attorney.
Thank your Robert L. Root for being the amazing attorney that you are, and for always having my best interest at heart.

I have used this attorney a few times, and I know friends and family who have used this attorney many times. Attorney Root is an extremely stand up individual, who works very hard for his clients and their rights.

I have witnessed attorney Root perform as a privately hired attorney, as well as a public defender in the City of Niles. Attorney Root performs ethically across the board whether privately hired, or a public defender.

Today I googled his name to look up his phone number, and noticed a review that speaks badly about him. That review is an extremely unfair and negatively biased review. I know two dozen people who have used this attorney and have been successful in their court cases.

I also find it funny that the prior said review, states "I don't know if they (the client) paid or not". I can guarantee if the client paid for Mr. Root's services- they would have been fully represented. Sounds like someone wasn't responsible and wanted to go out and blame an unpaid attorney for their lack of effort and irresponsibility.

Despite the other erroneous opinion, this guy is top notch, A+. No other attorney will fight harder. Dollar for Dollar, Attorney Robert Root is the best attorney hands down.
