My husband and I met with Mr. Gilmer to discuss expungement of an unfounded case back in the summer of 2016. During our initial consult we were reassured it could be done. We had a great case and he saw no reason why it would not go through. He explained the steps he would take and provided a time frame. We paid his retainer fee before we left his office.
After that it went downhill. We left messages for him (phone calls and emails) and it took weeks for a response. When he did respond he was apologetic and continued to reassure us that our case was being reviewed. Told these things take time but he was doing the best he could. When he did respond it was also an excuse or reason for why it was taking so long. We even received a fake letter he claimed to have received from the state only to be told later after being questioned it was a sample letter from another case. This is fraud. How does someone do this to people and sleep at night? How is he still practicing law?
The time for ensuring the expungement has passed and we are left with a sour taste. We should have listened to the reviews that warned us against hiring him. Do yourself a favor and go with someone who will actually do their job and not steal your money and peace of mind.

Don't do it, I wanted a uncontested divorce 4 years ago and I'm still waiting. I spoken to o 3 different paralegals, he has my money but doesn't return phone calls or emails.

I hired him for an immigration process and five months later he has done nothing! When he had his staff they sent me the filled forms with wrong information even when I had already given them all the documentation required to fill the forms. Later on, I told Mr. Gilmer I needed the forms to be sent out by an specific date (before September)and he agreed. Two weeks later I called him and he told me he would send them in september, to which I replied that I couldn't wait until september. He again agreed to send them one week prior to september. That week I called his office and the secretary told me he was ON VACATION!! She had no idea he had to finish something he agreed to do and that he would be back in september.
When he got back and saw my review he asked me to remove it and said he would give me back my money and documentation. He gave me a check for the filing fees I paid and some documentation. He still owes me $1500 and other important documentation and now he never answers the phone, doesn't return calls or emails! He IS a CON ARTIST!

I walked into Mr.Gilmer office in June 2014 Today is August 2019 and I'm still not divorced. I would not recommend unless you have time and money to waste. From my personnel experience they don't call you back at all you gave to call them and once your a client you never hear from then unless you call them. This experience had been a night mare trying to contact Mr.Gilmer, I will post back when they or if they contact me back.

I've been a student in the US since 2006 and married a US citizen a year and a half ago.
