I was being represented by Antonio toto from East Brunswick on a non compliant assault firearm. While using Antonio toto, mr evan nappen highly suggested I hire him and he would get me probation. He asked me for $10,000 to represent me at sentancing. He handed my case over to a woman who works for his firm which I will not say her name because it seemed to me that she was almost being forced to do mr nappens dirty work. Long story short I called mr nappen and told him if your idea is to have your employee at my sentancing like we agreed upon then I would have no choice but to fire you now. He promised he would be there. He didn’t show up at my sentancing !! I was sentanced with another guy who I have never met and never spoke to ever. Mr nappen spoke a very very good talk prior to hiring him but once I payed the $10,000 to his brother , it was over our conversations were over with. He had the nerve the night before my court appearance on October the 3, 2017 to tell me another one of his assistants will sentance me. He called me at 11:45 pm at night he told me he knows what to do. I knew right there I was going to prison. My judge Alberto Rivas asked the guy nappen sent to sentance me where is mr Almeida’s at tourney and he replied, at another case. My judge was upset. The lawyer even sent in his place did not say one word In my defense. It’s as if I was there all by myself. I will never forget the experience I had with mr Nappen. Mr nappens assistant is his body guard. Try to visit his office and she looks out the window before. She unlocks the door !! Once I payed him I never seen him again. I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews. This is my first negative google review. Remember to ask yourself. When mr nappen calls you from a blocked number everytime he returns your calls if that’s the actions of a man who conducts professional business. God forgive this man for not only what he did and said to me but to what he promised my family all Over $10,000 all within a 3 month period of him being my lawyer and not once represent me in court. He took me away from a lawyer that had a lot of experience in my case just to make $10,000 and leave me to defend myself with some lawyer that said nothing in my defense at my sentancing. My old attorney mr. Toto told me, kevin, this guy will take your money and do nothing for you but mr. Nappen was absolutely convincing that mistakes are being made by him. I made the biggest mistake believing him. I was left defenseless October 3. See if I ever get an apology from him.

EVAN NAPPEN IS NO FRIEND OF LAW ENFORCEMENT. While giving a presentation on 11/12/2018 at the VFW Hall in Glassboro, NJ, he falsely accused a trooper from the New Jersey State Police of racial profiling as a result of the trooper making a completely lawful arrest of an individual who Mr. Nappen later represented, Shaneen Allen (Ms. Allen was arrested for unlawful possession of a handgun during the traffic stop but was admitted to the pre-trial intervention program and ultimately pardoned by Governor Chris Christie). Mr. Nappen stated, “He (the trooper) stopped her for some traffic violation, probably DWB (driving while black).” Mr. Nappen provided absolutely no evidence for his accusation, nor was this ever brought up throughout the course of the investigation and litigation. Mr. Nappen should apologize to the trooper as well as the New Jersey State Police for his unfounded and slanderous accusation.

I cannot thank you and your firm enough for the past 6 years of work to help me restore my second amendment rights and to help clear my record.

The firm was in constant communication, gave clear instructions, explained the process and was an absolute pleasure to work with.

I was referred to your firm by a friend and will forward along countless recommendations to you and your firm. Thank you. Today is a great day and I do not have enough words to express my sincerest gratitude.

My husband and I recently met Mr. Evan Nappen who is an extremely nice person. Very down to earth smart guy who knows the gun laws inside and out. Thank you for representing us and for your informative NJ Gun Law book. Continue the great work that you do!

I didn't realize we would be represented by a celebrity lawyer......:) We were honored!

Thank you!

Evan and Louis are very caring! They stood by me throughout the 3 years it took to clear my name on the serious charges I faced. They not only backed me up in court but also gave me support mentally. Knowing that these two lawyers had my back was the greatest thing ever. What was even more joyful was when Evan and Louis got my charges dismissed. I will recommend their services to anyone that is facing charges in New Jersey. They will fight hard for you and look into any avenue to help you get you out of the situation you are in. Thanks so much Louis and Evan your the best!

NO STARS. THIS IS THE WORST LAW FIRM EVER!!! I GAVE THEM ALL MY INFO AND PAST CONVICTIONS AND I PAID THEM $1,300.00 IN FULL AND THEY TOOK MY MONEY KNOWING I COULDN'T GET AN EXPUNGEMENT!!!!! IF THEY ARE SO EXPERIENCED THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN RIGHT AWAY BY MY CHARGES THAT IT WOULDN'T WORK AND SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME TO SAVE MY MONEY. INSTEAD THEY TOOK MY MONEY, WAITED 8 MONTHS AND THEN FINALLY AFTER NUMEROUS EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS TO THEIR NASTY SECRETARY AND EVAN NAPPEN, I RECEIVED AN EMAIL. IT SAID THEY TRIED TO EMAIL ME IN OCTOBER AND I DIDN'T RESPOND???? FLAT OUT LIARS!!! IF YOU HIRE THIS FIRM IT WILL BE THE WORST MISTAKE YOU WILL EVER MAKE!!! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!!!!! HORRIBLE BUSINESS!!!!! NOT BUSINESS PEOPLE JUST THIEVES!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I found myself in more trouble than I knew what to do with, I asked my " CELLMATE(!)" for advice because I had never been arrested...more on that in a bit. Anyway... you're not supposed to get arrested!, but I sure did.

My friend and I are not from New Jersey and we were just trying to go to the range to practice with my new firearm and have a "girl's day". I come from Pennsylvania, a state with firearms laws that a non-attorney such as myself can make heads and tails of.

To make a long story short, I was 'improperly possessing/transporting' my firearm and I basically "told on myself" during a motor vehicle stop because I didn't know I was doing anything "wrong". I also didn't know that I had a "right to remain silent" I actually thought that was just something criminals did, I WAS SO WRONG!!

As I had said, I didn't think I did anything wrong, the problem is the police officer didn't see it that way and I was thrown in " the slammer".

Back to the cellmate, she gave me the number of an attorney who I wound up calling. Surprisingly quickly he said "GOOD NEWS! we will probably be able to get you probation" , since he had a fancy office and, after all, he was a lawyer, I figured that would be the best case scenario.

He didn't ask me the stuff that an attorney who wants to WIN would ask you. In fact, for the given charge "probation" would not have even been an option since it was so serious. I was standing to face 3.5 years in state prison!!
Anyway I went with my "gut" and I had no choice but to fire him because I knew he was not ready to fight nor did he seem capable of it.

I did a lot of research on who's who in "Gun Law" in New Jersey and all roads seemed to lead to Evan Nappen. Evan asked me for everything I could possibly recount from the situation and a lot of other stuff, some of them were questions that seemed so obvious to ask but the last (fired) attorney never made mention of them even once. It was literally an entirely different experience from the last attorney's consultation meeting, which was focused on my ability to pay/fees and not much more other than a brief description of the very reason i was there.

Anyway, the truly brilliant and outside - of - the - box thinking Mr. Evan Nappen was there every step of the way, promptly returned calls and had an incredible team each with separate talents, this included David Huang, who I was so lucky to have on my case as well.

The verdict: A FULL ACQUITTAL, NOT GUILTY!!!... I have no criminal record!! He saved my freedom and from what I know about prison, he may have saved my life (I mean this).

A couple of years later, I bumped into the original attorney (whose name I will not mention) and he literally found it hard to believe that someone was able to do that for me. He thought I was pulling his leg. He then said "may I ask who represented you" I answered "Evan Nappen". He said to me "If I was in the kind of trouble you were, I would have called him as well". I smiled and told him to have a nice day, then I thought to myself why didn't he just refer Evan to begin with if he truly cared? That would have been the real ethical move, oh well.
Folks If you are in trouble for jaywalking to a felony, in my honest opinion, I don't think you could possibly do better than Mr. Nappen and his terrific firm. Thanks Evan!

Even Nappen is the finest attorney (and I have met quiet a few) that I have ever worked with or even met. Raw talent and charisma on top of mountains of esoteric, though apparently highly useful, knowledge. Mr. Nappen is clearly a patriot as well, one of the same caliber of George Washington or Thomas Jefferson; just born at a different time. He is a well known hero to our Second Amendment and liberty in general.

Thanks for everything Evan! "They" (other lawyers) said what you accomplished would "impossible", clearly it was only impossible for them.

Needless to say, if I am ever in such a bad situation again, I will take Evan Nappen's bright Orange business out of my wallet and I know I will be in the best of hands.

The Nappen Law is the reason why I am free today with my good name restored. When I was arrested and charged with pretty much any violation that could be thought of, the law firm worked tirelessly. The prosecutor''s office made it clear that no deals were to made and I was to be made an example. Not only were the Nappen law firm able to get my charges dropped despite the resistance of the prosecutor's office, they were able to secure a release of my own recognizance(from $75000 cash no bod bail to $0) and ALL my property was returned to me, despite the protests from the prosecutor's office. All I had to do was exercise my rights to remain silent, communicate with the office when any issue arise, and be willing to fight in court.
Google "Keith Pantaleon" and tell me in the state of NJ should it even have been possible for to retain my innocence much less my firearms.

Don't use this lawyer there office is unprofessional and honestly Evan is a show boat he never once showed up for me in court. I spoke to him he said he was the lawyer who got Shaneen Allen a pardon he promised me a pardon because he knows the Governor and he can walk it over to him and get it signed he also agreed to a 10k flat payment for all the way up to trial he didn't get that far instead as soon as I paid the 10k he assigned David Haung to my case who in turn assigned it to Jeffery another lawyer they told me to be in court in December I paid for my tickets and hotel and then the lawyer changed the date to January I lost all the travel costs then had to pay again in January. That's not the worst part my lawyer Jeffrey showed up 4 mins late to my hearing when he arrived he had not read my plea arrangement he was surprised when he read that I would be pleading guilty and getting a 11.5yr sentence in order to get my PTI as well as I had to surrender my fire arms and give up my right to get my dash cam tapes. I was stopped for a reciprocity issue with my out of state fire arm carry permit. Save your money use a public defender this blow hard lawyer and his crew are so unprofessional I cannot even get a return call or an accounting statement and the bad part is I'm still on PTI checking in weekly to a bail bondsman and I was released January 12th from PTI but my lawyer didn't get my release papers finalized. This place is a rip off I intend to sue for my money back and damages as a result of the destruction of the tapes that showed police abuse and negligence. And the loss of my fire arms that Evan told me I would be able to pick up when the PTI was completed and also for failure to preform the promise of getting me a pardon.
