I briefly spoke to an attorney here, I was basically told nothing will go in my favor and will the opposing party’s favor. Seems a little sexist and more on mans side. If your looking for someone to go against your ex female spouse definitely hire them.

Steve Mandel is an attorney who goes out of his way to provide concise and realistic answers to all questions relating to family law and divorce. He worked with me to execute a separation agreement with my ex-husband in the most expedient way possible. We achieved this without hassle, without creating extra cost, while devising a peaceful agreement. As an aside, years later I had a car accident that resulted in a law suit. Who you hire makes a huge difference. I switched from Peter Cedeno to the Mandel Law Firm and could not be happier with the switch. Mr Cedeno was unprofessional and dishonest. He even somehow got my google review of him deleted ! Steve Mandel is attentive efficient and will tell you the truth. These kind of cases require honest attorneys and this firm is honest and ethical. Happy I found them.

Mr Mandel and staff are an absolute godsend. I never had to deal with the endeavor of having a divorce. I went into it with uncertainty and fear. My ex wife had made many false claims that would not only tarnish my name but also potentially affect my future. With such an emotionally stressful event, I had to find the best. Mr Mandel is that. Mr Mandel found the contradictions in my wife's allegations and promptly changed a one sided battle into one in my favor. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. I can't recommend this office enough. Should you be so unfortunate to have to deal with a divorce, you can count on Mr Mandel to be in your corner.

I employed this firm's services a few years back, and due to the lack of experience, misleading advice and intentional malice and pre-judgement towards me and the situation I was in, my life became a nightmare in court for many years. That goes for my family as well. On top of that, Steve Mandel continued to rip us off without even moving a finger. He never once showed up in court. He mislead us at the free consultation where he outright LIED about everything: from experience, to finance, to the planning of the trial. He is a client's worst nightmare. Extremely bad service. Should be no star for its quality (but the minimum point here in one star). Do not hire any attorney specialized in immigration law from this firm. The so-called "free" initial consultation is only by phone and totally useless. You will then be charged for a pretty high rate for the first meeting. The lawyer whom I spoke to was impatient, unprofessional, and only repeated very general information that everybody knows. And she didn't even care how you felt about the case.

After using a multitude of law firms, I was most impressed with Steven J. Mandel's practice. Everything from the service to the constant barrage of emails and phone calls allowed me to settle my case in record time. Steven has a wealth of experience and friends have told me the rest of his team brings it to the table as well. I had a great experience and chances are you will as well.

Do not -- I repeat -- DO NOT work with a lawyer at the Law Firm of Steven J. Mandel. named Madelyn Jay. She is rude, condescending, and totally unprofessional. Unless you want to be insulted and treated as if you were a developmentally disabled two year old, do not work with Madelyn Jay. If you go with this firm, specifically request NOT to work with Madelyn Jay. Ms. Jay does not know how to treat people -- she needs lessons in how to be a decent human being and she needs to understand that you do not keep clients by insulting and berating them.

Steve Mandel is excellent. He helped me a NY/NJ jurisdictional issue against an expensive, frivolously litigious opposing lawyer. Steve cited specific precedent and court law and won the case hands down. The NYC court system thinks along these same lines as evidenced by the Judge responses which added around the core arguments Steve made. I highly recommend him.
