Please look for another firm to deal with your divorce case. After they ha do my previous review deleted, and upon hearing two additional acquaintances of mine go through similar circumstances, I felt compelled to rewrite this review. After three months and over nine thousand dollars spent, there was no forward movement in my divorce. When payed a bill on Monday, they stopped services on Wednesday because the receptionist never told my lawyer, 10 feet from her, that I paid the bill. I went through 3 lawyers the 1st two said they had to leave on family matters. But each time i got a new lawyer, had to schedule a whole new session again to reexplain the whole case. My questions and concerns were answered with a, "If you have concerns about us, it's a mark against you." These people really dont care about men.
Do not do business with this place. They had me meet with a go getter then when I paid the retainer they gave me to a different lawyer. The first lawyer basically told me what I wanted to hear and the second one told me a completely different story. I had one meeting with the second lawyer and decided we would not work good together. That meeting cost me $532!!!! Not even an hour and it cost me $532!!! They are very quick to take your money but slow to deliver results!!! I would give this place NEGATIVE 5 star's if I could. Please stay as far away from this place as possible!!!

Expensive as hell, I called my lawyer maybe 4 times and I had her do a couple of things file for divorce and temp custody standard stuff? I actually decided to go through a mediator instead and fired Shannon because she had a plan B I never knew or agreed to, just in case well it cost me well over five grand and she only represented me for a month, I would say keep looking just because they pay alot for advertising through Google, actually I never even meet my lawyer face to face or one on one in person, so 5 thousand is a bit much they have to charge you a fortune because there affiliated with Cordell and Cordell, like franchising they over charge you to keep the Cordell website generating leads for them, 5 thousand is what you will pay before you get anything I can't even imagine how much money it would of been if they got into my 401k, she asked alot of questions and took alot of notes but when I talked with her over the phone she was like well that's all just useless stuff well I still got charged for all that wasted time

Save your money and your time. I cannot believe a law firm that advocates fathers rights could be so criminal. They extort money from people trying to right a wrong. They definitely do not have a clients best interest at hand. I had used this legal team once before for a false protection order, and was cleared with ease. The attorney at that time did wonderful, and that is why I came back for my divorce and custody. What a huge mistake that was. My new attorney must have been fresh out of law school with no true prior trial experience. She was a wet noodle in front of the judge and did not prepare me at all with what to expect. I had some form of an idea, but nothing prepared me for what really happened. My attorney, basically was working for the other team. My ex-wife got everything she wanted with NO legal representation at all. I only wanted what was best for my kids, no more overnights with her or her felon fiance. Cordell & Cordell preach a good game, but after 27k and a year of this nonsense, I ended up with an empty house, the kids still had to do overnights, and the ex wife is continuing to make our lives hell. Just save your money and your time, and continue looking elsewhere, because Cordell & Cordell definitely will only extort you of every cent!

Over the 16mo course of my custody case (two of which were with another attorney before Cordell & Cordell) there were many human errors made by myself. I’ll admit that I wasn’t the “model client”. We also can not control the opposing party and what her/attorney do. Luckily I had Bradley Marsicek as my attorney who kept it honest and upfront. I don’t like things sugar coated, but blunt and straight forward. I’ve read a lot of comments about how expensive Cordell and Cordell are, well I can honestly say, attorneys in Hawaii charge in upwards of $800/hr. If I just listened to my attorney, things may have been cheaper! Mr Marsicek gave me some of the most important advice that any divorced/father needs to hear. I like the cportel website that allows me to track the progress of the case and upload documents. The payment process is easy! Anyone who’s anyone doesn’t like paying for services; your car for example, you need it fixed, but complain about the cost. I must say that Cordell & Cordell are extremely lucky to have snagged Bradley Marsicek. I’d highly recommend! YOU THE MAN BRAD!

I am quite satisfied with my experience(s) with Cordell and Cordell. My lawyer, Bradley Marsicek, is a straight shooter! He never sugar coated information, nor did he ever stroke my ego. He prepared me for the worse, maintained a solid strategy, and adjusted on the fly quickly to stay ahead of any issues as they arose. The entire staff that I was able to work with was amazing. The secretaries were friendly and my messages were returned promptly. They payed attention to my communication preferences and thus our correspondences were prompt and concise. Even the financing department was helpful, clearly able to explain any and all charges, and worked with me to ensure I knew all my payment options. You get what you pay for, and I gotten the best. I am very satisfied with my experience.

Horrible representation by Mehgan Wolf. Unprepared and didn't even have income calculations currect for myself or the opposing party. Made me look like a fool In front of the judge due to the fact she was so unprofessional, and unprepared.

I believe they are not man's best friend. After a $100 consultation, I made the mistake of thinking they had my best interests in mind. After a one hour discussion with another lawyer in the firm and another $1000.00 charge, I decided to use another firm who I felt was truly representing me. I was ultimately charged $1100.00 for a about 1-1/2 hours worth of conversations and got nothing to show for it. They did nothing for me but offer bad advice.
After I chose to use another firm, I received a call from their finance department. It was explained they would need to make another charge to my credit card for the amount I owed for their services, which again, was nothing and then they would credit the same amount later. Keep in mind I was already charged a $1100 retainer before they would do anything. I should have been refunded a few hundred. Now my credit card is double charged and I am waiting for the refund. Why the double charge??? Why not just do a refund on what was left from the original charge? Now I need to monitor my account to make sure they pay the refund and it is correct. In addition, there will be additional finance charges. This is a poor way to do business. I can't believe they operate this way. I rarely post reviews but felt this one was important as I don't want anyone to make the same mistake.
If you are like me and your life is in shambles, you need someone in your corner. I would look elsewhere. I would not recommend this firm to anyone accept your spouse. It's as if they were supporting her instead. However, if you want to pay high rates for poor advice, go for it.

After listening to KFAB, I heard the ad from Cordell & Cordell about Men with a business getting divorced. I thought this was exactly what I needed. I called Cordell & Cordell on 2-13-2017 and scheduled an appointment the person I talked to said I would need a $1700 retainer. So I met with a lawyer on 2-17-2017 and was told the retainer was $2500 instead of $1700, being desperate for legal help I gave them their $2500. They gave my case to Megan Wolf. I went in and met with Megan and gave her my Information and was told I needed to be in court on 3-14-2017 at 10:30 am. Megan also recommended that I pay half of my wife’s attorney fees. I declined since my wife hired an attorney for $1200 and I just payed $2500 for mine and why should I have to pay for half of hers? I thought I would bring it up when I saw her in court. So I shut down my shop and went to court. I was there about 15 minutes early, I sat in the court room till 10:45 and no one showed up, so I went into the Bailiffs office and was told Megan rescheduled the court date. I was not happy since I wasted half of a day and was not told of the change of court date. So I drove out to Cordell & Cordell and explained to the lady at the desk what happened, she told me they tried to call me, then I asked what number they called and the number they called was not even close to mine and the second number I gave them they didn’t even try. I filled out a contact form after the consultation and all they had to do was look at the form. So I asked for a refund, why would I want a lawyer this incompetent? They told me they would get back to me. A liaison from corporate called me the next day, I explained what happened and I explained if I need a liaison to talk to my lawyer, what good is this lawyer to me? I told her I just want to be done with their law firm and move on. I argued with Cordell & Cordell for a few weeks to get my money back. Keep in mind I’m going through a Divorce and the lawyer I want to fire won’t refund my money so I could hire another Lawyer. My stress level was at an all-time hi. So after fighting with Cordell & Cordell for two weeks they decided to refund me $2027.50 out of $2500 I gave them not to mention the $100 consultation fee. I wasted a lot of time arguing with them, lost half a day of work at court and went through a lot of unneeded stress that cost me $572.50. Cordell & Cordell is NOT a law firm a man can count on! What you can count on is they will take your money and that is all they care about! So if you’re going through a Divorce and don’t need added stress do yourself a favor and find another law firm!

Like so many others going through this tumultuous time in life I am overjoyed at the difference that Cordell and Cordell had made. In particular, my attorney Bradley Marsicek. The time, dedication, and understanding that Brad brought to not only helping me through the divorce has been invaluable. Brad is beyond what I could have imagined in my attorney. Constantly available for questions, his dedication to me as a client, made me believe that his undivided attention was on me.
Professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and dedicated are just a few of the words that describe Bradley, and by extension Cordell and Cordell. I would recommend any man going through a divorce to Cordell and Cordell and specifically Bradley Marsicek.

This law firm claims to focus on men's rights and yet they failed to protect me at every hearing. All I ever heard were excuses and how we will get them in at the final hearing. My ex-wife made all sorts of wild accusations that cordell never turned around on her. They allowed the focus to always be on me. During my divorce I took a 20% pay cut and then my company stopped paying me but I will still paying child support as if I was earning $60,000 a year and corrdell did nothing to help relieve this or get the child support lowered. Because I couldn't afford child support I was behind on payments and the court was threatening to throw me in jail for contempt and again Cordell did nothing. In fact all they really cared about was getting their money and didn't care at all if I ended up in jail. Then instead of trying to fix things and helping me they dropped me. If you want an expensive secretary then go ahead and use them because that's all your going to get is them filing paperwork for you.

I would recommend Cordell & Cordell to a friend. Chris P. provided clear descriptions about the process and options available to me. He was prompt in responding to my questions and emails. I had a complex case where separation was issued in one state, divorce granted in another and ex-wife was currently in Iowa not abiding by our agreement. Chris worked hard on my case to bring it to a fair and equitable outcome,; at least for me!
Thanks Chris!

First of all going through a divorce is difficult. There are so many changes happening it's hard to keep every thing straight. The paper work alone is a full time job let alone trying to deal with your battle on the homefront. In many ways I was lucky and didn't have to go to court for my divorce. My now ex-wife and I went to Chris Pomerleau and he took care of all the paper work for us. Things were tough enough trying to split up a decade's worth of property and memories. Chris was very helpful in understanding the process and how to make it go smoothly. If you find yourself in need of a divorce attorney I'd recommend Chris Pomerleau and Cordell and Cordell.

Working with Jerrad with Cordell & Cordell after experiencing the most difficult time in my life relieved me from having more stress and anxiety from an already tough situation. I appreciated the attention to detail with the entire process. In the end I had no question about how well I was taken care of. Fully satisfied.

My experience at Cordell and Cordell was not only a legal one but a personal one. Chris Pomerleau was assigned to my case and at the beginning there were some adjustments that needed to be made to reach an understanding of how we would communicate, make decisions, and frankly just counsel each other. Divorce is frustrating, emotional, and crushing at times. Chris allowed me not only to seek legal advice but to care about my family (not just me) and what was best for them and myself thru this process and beyond. Many times I didn't want just the legal approach or what was "typical". Chris would work thru it with me, understanding my personality and goals, and come to a process to move forward. Chris was also diligent and worked to ensure the case could be closed with quality results for the least amount of expenses. I highly recommend this firm. If you get the chance, ask for Chris, you will not be disappointed.

My divorce cost me nearly $25,000 dollars by going with this firm. They ensured me that they "fought for men's rights" and would "get me what I deserved" and that they "could get things done that others can't" but in the end, I ended up with nothing special. Sure, they got my Joint Custody and equal parenting time, but frankly, ANY attorney could have gotten me that in this particular case. It was pretty much a given going into it.
I paid certainly double, and maybe even triple, the amount to get the same results from using this attorney that I would have gotten using another attorney that would have been significantly cheaper.
All of their advertisements claim that they are "special" attorneys that can get things done, when in reality, they aren't any more special than any other attorney out there. The only difference is you pay these attorneys tremendously more money...money that I don't feel they deserve since their performance and results were mediocre at best.
Steer clear of this law firm...there are cheaper options that will get you everything this firm "claims" they can get you.

Worst Experience EVER!!!! All they care about is money. They ask you for the same info time after time. Then charge you for it. You call with a complaint. They charge you for it. They have no interest in you at all. And charge you for it. They milk the clock, don't have a plan or strategy and don't care. But they will charge you for it.

Glad to hear that the other person loved them; or, was that just a C&C employee? After going through my divorce, I have to say that I did 90% of the work, while C&C did 10%. They had very little time for me, didn't care about what was happening, charged too much, made mistakes that they shouldn't have made, didn't understand strategy, didn't explain things well if at all, and the list goes on.

Be very careful hiring these people. They say they are affordable and they are NOT. We spent over $7000 for them to file one paper with the courts. When we could not pay the $2500 upfront the resigned from being our attorney right before a court date! They only care about their money. Not their clients!!!

I would have to agree with the other 2 bad reviews. This place cares only about the money and not the client. First they get you to sign on to the "pay as you go" payment plan instead of a traditional retainer that most attorneys offer. Oh but they offer it... its just 5000 dollars for retainer. Who has that kind of money that's going through a divorce? So in this pay as you go scheme they charge you for every minute of their time... literally. So for example if they send an email to opposing council that's about $50. My case was on hold for 6 months because the attorney was "sick" and the other attorney that was supposed to take my case did nothing for me. After her 6 month leave she returned and wanted to strongly pursue my case... Ok so I got charged about $200 a month for them to write emails back n forth and send me email updates when my case was going nowhere because I was waiting on my ex to sign an agreement outside of court. So ultimately I ended up with $2500 in attorney fees when they literally did nothing for me. Oh and lets top it off with my return check for the portion of the trust balance took 42 days to receive after I called and they told me the check was issued. So they canceled payment on that check and sent out another one. Low and behold I received the first check 10 days after the call. So I go to the bank and it wont clear because it was the first check they issued 50 days later and they blame it on shipping haha right... So I don't get my money back just yet and who knows how long it will take. Do not do business with this place. If I could do it over again I would purchase family law books and represent myself.
