WHAT KIND OF LAW FIRM IS THIS? I CANNOT GET A RESPONSE FROM THESE GUYS. THEY ARE EAGER TO ACCEPT CASES BUT CANNOT HANDLE THE LOAD. IT SEEMS PRETTY OBVIOUS TO ME THEY JUST WANT TO MAKE MONEY FOR THEMSELVES. I've been waiting for over a year for someone to talk to me about my case...Everytime I call I get put on hold for anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour or more or the phone cuts off. Just one call, letter, or response from them would seem humane...It's really unfortunate the lawyer the receptionist says is handling my case hasn't responded to me at all about my case. On/or about 2012 I (Kenneth Franklin) contacted Malman Law & Associates seeking representation for my mother (Rosie F). At that time, my mother was a resident in a nursing facility named Renaissance because of Alzheimer’s diagnosis. During the course of my mom’s residency at Renaissance, she was left unattended which resulted in her fall from a second story window at Renaissance.

For this reason, I contacted Malman & Associates and they were kind and considerate to send out a representative discuss a course of action. A lawsuit for negligence against Renaissance was the strategy agreed upon. My mother would later transition to Berkeley Nursing & Rehab and then, Bridgeview Healthcare Center in which the negligence continued.

My problem with Malman is with the time frame that it has taken to resolve my mother’s case. It has been in litigation 8 or 9 years. My mom finally made her transition May 4, 2017, yet her lawsuit is still in litigation 2 ½ years later. The last scheduled court date was June 13, 2019 and no contact since. There hasn’t been a disbursement on any kind and now, they don’t even bother to answer my call. When I call and asked to speak with the Lawyer assigned to my mother’s case, I’m told that he’s not available, leave a voice message which has constantly gone unanswered.

I reached out to Dan Petrich at Malman Law on 8/26/2018. My family & I were living in an apartment that developed mold. I was a new mom who was scared and intimated by my management company so I reached out to what was advertised as the "best law firm" in the city to HELP. My 3 month old daughter was hospitalized at Lurie's for 5 days due to respiratory issues as a result of the mold. In the beginning Dan would answer all my calls & emails to never answering at all. I was constantly given the run around and in the end almost a year later, I had to have a new attorney take on the case. They are not in the business of helping. They could have at least had the decency to respond. If you want to be treated like a human being, take your business elsewhere.

Very bad experience. Lots of promising and optimistic talk in beginning.....to no communication at all. Mold case where family was really put in a bind. In the end, had to seek another attorney who got the job done.

The one thing I expressed I wanted to be taken care of was my medical bills. After numerous conversations about the horrible insurance coverage I had and that the bill will not be getting paid. I expressed how my chiropractor bill needed to be paid. He said he came to an agreement with my chiropractor and that the check that was issued to her was enough. I found out that was a lie. I’m still paying out of my own pocket the 3000.00 balance. The chiropractor didn’t accept the 1000.00 so she sent it back to the office. I haven’t heard nor received that money, but you probably need it more than me. Case was closed in February now it’s December.
Please take me off your contact list, I really don’t want to rehash the experience every time you e-mail me.
My advice to anyone call a different fir. A local attorney in your neighborhood.

I contacted Malman Law almost a year after my Mother died in a very miserable way due to a bedsore that eventually took her life due to sepsis and increasingly necrotic tissue that advanced due to severe neglect.

I was not the typical individual from the very beginning dealing with Malman Law. I was not easy to deal with... primarily because I was very conflicted about suing because I was not entirely sure if it was the correct thing to do....
after all, my Mother was gone and suing for money was not going to bring her back.
I was very angry at the Nursing homes she had been in and out of . I just wanted them to never do this to anyone else again.

I was assigned an attorney named Jason Kellerman who endured a lot from me! I called him constantly for updates and probably drove him crazy. He became a Dad 2x while handling my Mothers case and honestly , he never missed a beat. He was so patient with me and my anxiety and frustration about this suit.

In the end, the case was settled and I have mixed emotion to this day about monetary gain for what happened to my Mother...HOWEVER, I am extremely pleased with how Malman handled the case and frankly, ME. I was terribly conflicted and they really were patient with me.
