This law office is very rude, short, and not helpful at all. He made assumptions without finding out details, but was quick to throw out his $250 consultation (only in person) fee. He ended the call with telling me apparently this isn't the office for you. First impression is everything, and the first impression provided was horrible!!

I just spoke to this lawyer and I must say like others I am impressed. Due to jurisdiction he couldn't help me but he took the time to explain the situation and he believed I had a case. Unlike a lot of other lawyers I spoke to that just flat out refuse to listen or explain. Would definitely recommend him as he seems knowledgeable and patient.

Called him today for some advice on my previous job. He is very rude and only in it for the money. When I spoke to him about my issues with my job and looking for his help, He immediately told me “You have a claim but the only problem is my fee” and then assumed I couldn’t afford him by telling me his fees might be out of my “price range”. This man is a joke and I wouldn’t recommend anybody going to him for help legally. Just a typical white trash lawyer looking for a quick dollar.

Comes off rude and short. I called for a consultation about a month ago and he didn’t really want to hear anything further. He just began to tell me his fees and that pursing a case might not be worth it. Not sure how he came to that conclusion without hearing my story. He assumed I wouldn’t be able to afford his retainer, which isn’t even on the high end but I digress.

David was very impatient and rude. Not a good decision.

David was a pleasure to work with and always responded to my calls and tried to answer every question I had. He is extremely knowledgeable about Employment law and always gave me good advice. The most important thing about David is he doesn't over-promise or under-deliver. I am happy with the result he achieved for me which was in the range that he initially said it would be.

Each year David Porter sends me a Labor Day Card, I moved so it probably will be returned to him until he changes the address. He helped me settle a case back in 2009, took a large firm that needed 3 or 4 attorneys to fight against him. I saw a few reviews about him being rude in this blog....not the case, at all.

When people have been discharged they are upset, and they want any attorney or firm to jump over some hurdles and get a plan of action.
I learned a lot about legal issues and labor practices in those four years.
Employment practices benefit the employer, this is how it is so you need a strong advocate to push back against a stream of challenges, especially if the employer is big.

Summarily, David Porter is the guy that you want on your side. A long time friend of mine who was an attorney for a large utility company said that David Porter was one of the top (3) three Labor Attorneys in Chicago, period.

Extremely positive. David Porter laid out a winning strategy. Communication was excellent. Even before I decided to hire him, he always picked up the phone, and I was able to talk directly to him. He laid out a seven page summation, advised me on potential witness testimony by the employer, and advised me, listened to the events that took place. We met in person the first time for over an hour and half. We had a second conversation over the phone for an hour, and then talked over the phone a half an hour before the hearing. We were extremely prepared, thanks to David. He also laid out possible ways he would cross examine any witnesses the employer had. Nonetheless, the judge notified both David and I on the day and time of the hearing, that the employer withdrew their appeal day prior, which would of been the same day the employer found out I hired David Porter as an attorney. A++ in terms of everything. Definitely would recommend
