If possible I would give zero stars. He took a initial retainer and said he would show up in court on my friends behalf. Not only does he not personally go to the local jail as noted he misses two court dates. That’s right, not just one but two. This was after I wanted to pull my business after the first no show but his office lady whose the only one professional enough to return a call just assured me it was a misunderstanding. Then, the same thing happened again so I called the office and asked for him to return my retainer. Needless to say that was over approximately 6 months ago and still no retainer refund. Maybe to local people he’s a good lawyer but if you are from out of town and don’t have time to micromanage your lawyer, do NOT hire him!!

The first time I offered to pull my business I was more less begged to stay with your firm because you where so dedicated to your clients which was a joke. You are correct I was willing to pay thousands of dollars for a lawyer who showed up in court. Which was certainly not you. But both court dates you missed that are on the record, which even the judge was appalled you had a BS excuse on how missing court was your strategy. Joke, as are you. You are not dealing with someone that needs a favor but I will ALWAYS get what I pay for. I should have listened to the jail staff when they warned me about you, your reputation and your previous charges which was a google search away. And before you say you were aquited we both know being found not guilty and innocent are two totally different things. So before you speak about someone’s personality be sure you are not dealing with a professional who damn sure doesn’t need you and knows you should clean up your own backyard first.

And if money is not what you’re about (which we all no better) as you stated in your response then I should have my retainer back by now??? Regardless of what I was willing to spend. Stop talking around this subject like in your last post! Like I said if you don’t want to micro-manage your lawyer keep moving to the next lawyer......Because this one is a salesman. And we know how honest most salesmen are!!

Financially rewarding

Was in a tight spot with traffic tickets and was recommended to this firm. I have used him 3 times and got a referral from them for an Illinois traffic issue, which worked out perfectly. Staff is friendly and most importantly my issues were taken care of especially the cases that were time sensitive. Any issue I have, I will most definitely come back.

Didn't end up hiring Matt. The fee increased by 25% between initial consultation and the following week when I was going to go in and file the paperwork, with no stated reason. Never spoke with Matt, all coordinated through the admin. I didn't appreciate the bait and switch, especially after being told not to speak to any other lawyers for a week. Shady.

My husband hired Matt Latulip to take care of a simple license suspension after failing to make a court date for a speeding ticket. Charged him $500 and was told by his office all had been taken care of. 3 months later, he looked up on the DMV website and to his disappointment, license was still showing suspended. Called Matt's office and was told it was a court clerk error and all would be taken care of. Even got a follow up call that all had been handled.

Well another 3 months past and driving home from work late one evening got pulled over by a anxious patrolwoman for doing 55 in a 60 zone and guess what, no ticket for speeding, but was informed his license was still suspended!!! This after being told twice by Matt's office all was A-OK. Well Matt, things are not okay. We are lucky my husband was not arrested. Thanks for nothing! I'm sure you will be hearing from my husband shortly. Not exactly sure what your specialty is but traffic, probably not one of them, so you should take that off your list of credentials.
