I hired Justin Strane to represent me during my purchase of a condo in Chicago. What started as a pretty straightforward transaction became very thorny when, while under contract, problems in the building were brought to light. Justin worked very hard to help me negotiate with the sellers' attorney (who was, shall we say, less than responsive). Justin gave me solid counsel, provided me realistic and prudent options to choose from, was always responsive to my emails, and in the end helped craft and ratify a contract addendum which both saved the deal and provided me with post-settlement protections against special assessments that could have resulted in thousands of dollars out of my pocket otherwise. Even a year after closing, when I had an important question on the contract addendum, he responded immediately and helped get me the information I needed.

I'm a big, big fan of Justin's work and I highly recommend his services to anyone. He has a no-nonsense, straightforward style, is deeply committed to his clients' best interest, and provides a level of service which is both welcome and (in my experience) rare.

Mr. Strane helped me with huge matter. My board wanted to vote on special assessment. Mr. Strane took a look on all documents and gave me few advises and tips of how to act and talk to the board and management office in order to show them they were not able to charge me for special assessment at given moment considering all paperwork I was provided with prior condo purchase.

As a result, there was no special assessment.
