Matt was terrific. Talk about persistent! And he got results. My husband had a different law firm handling the same accident. He had to track his lawyer down… all the time… leave messages. It was frustrating. But Matt always called me. He updated me all the time. I completely trusted him to take care of everything. And he did.

So here’s the thing: I was patient from the beginning because I know that injury cases can take forever. My friend’s case with another law firm took 7 years. So with my case I sort of expected about the same. Sobo & Sobo won my case in less than half of that time. We also may have won sooner but Sobo & Sobo kept pushing for more money and they were right because we did get more. I can definitely recommend this firm and in fact I was in another accident and came right back to this firm.

They don't return your phone calls in a timely matter

Both me and my sister had unfortunate car accidents. We both went to Sobo & Sobo. The firm won both cases for us. We each had different lawyers and different paralegals, and we both had good experiences. Updates were nice and they keep you in the loop. Very little stress in this process. There’s a reason this firm is so well liked. I will be posting a positive, five star review on Facebook as well.

Bad experience. Workers comp lawyer coudnt even explain why he couldn't take a case. All he said was "im not taking it". Very unprofessional, was told I would get a call in 48 hrs..didnt receive a call for 2-3 weeks. I had to call them!! After asking around, I heard a lot of complaints about them.

Sobo & Sobo made the process easy. Basically, Sobo & Sobo does all the work and they call you to keep you updated. You just don’t have to worry about anything with them in control.

There is so much to like about this firm. They don’t charge you a penny except from what THEY WIN. They take the time to explain things, and you don’t feel slimy seeing them because you can tell that they are great lawyers but also great people. I wish all lawyers were like the Sobo firm.

I've had so many different attorneys. They never know anything, never answer questions and that's if I can get them on the phone. Most of the time they don't take my call or return a message I leave even though it says all calls will be returned by the end of the day. That's a joke. These attorneys don't know anything, don't help and just don't care. I had a case there years ago which is why I went back. The people working there now are nothing like they used to be. I'll never go there again and I definitely won't send anyone I know

My Attorney, Funsho Ilori was absolutely as good as it gets. My injury occurred in May of 2018 and he had my case settled in December of 2019, which was actually only a little more than a year from when we filed suit. He moved it along extremely fast, as personal injury cases can tend to drag on for years without the right representation. He was always available to me if I had any questions and would always make it a point to return my calls by the end of the same business day if he was busy in court or had other obligations. He was very detailed and thorough when it came to preparing me for depositions and was always prepared in court. The greatest compliment that I can give him is that he always did what was in the best interest of his client (myself). He always gave me all the scenarios and how things could play out, but at the end of the day he left the final decisions on things we could control with me and I respect him for that. At the very beginning we discussed a number that we thought the case was worth and he delivered that and then some. I couldn't be more happy with my representation and I don't think any other attorney could've got me what he did. He helped turn a very painful and challenging event in my life into a life changing outcome for my family and I don't think I can ever thank him enough.

UPDATED TO RESPOND TO GREG: You and I both know there were severe flaws in how my case was assembled. I have a lifetime disability from this injury and due to inadequate attorney handling from the jump, I only received out of pocket coverage for the first surgery. Not lost wages, etc. You still got your third and are still trying to save face. Looking forward to calling you later.

ORIGINAL: Three attorneys, two paralegals, and three years later they did not even do a decent job. My case was mishandled from the beginning. For the little I settled for, there's no reason it took three years.

Two attorneys that were incompetent, the last one I only dealt with for a couple weeks to finalize. The paralegals were all rude.

No reason they did not send out their team to take pictures immediately, or to properly label the pictures I supplied within the first few weeks, not TWO YEARS LATER! Highly dissatisfied. I have two stars instead of one because the last attorney deserved some star for his couple weeks of work.

I hired Sobo and Sobo for my real estate deal. I worked with Jeana Pinto and her team. I had a very difficult sale but Jeana and her team worked real hard to bring us to closing. I will be using them again for the next real estate deal.

Sobo & Sobo are always exceptional when it comes to customer service. I used them for my car accident. Now I will utilize them for my worker’s compensation case.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I've had so many lawyers over the last 2 years I lost track. Everytime I get a new lawyer, I have to explain everything all over again. Each new lawyer knows less than the last one. I ask a question and get the same answer everytime "I have to ask my supervisor". So the lawyers know so little they can't even answer a question? Half of the time they don't even return phone calls. You leave message after message with no response. You leave a message for Greg Sobo and get a call back from some girl who isn't a lawyer or a paralegal and says she "will let them team know you have questions". Still no return phone call. There must be something wrong with the place that they can't keep lawyers.

Matt far exceeded my expectations of a personal injury lawyer. He was with me every step of my case through surgeries and meetings. He was my advocate and treated me and my family with respect and courtesy at all times.

I know this firm well and can say unequivocally you are not going to find a better one in the state of New York. Combine their experience with their first class treatment of clients and you have a winner!

Alexander W. Tesoriero and all the staff in this firm are poor communicators. This includes to grieving families, which is shameful.

I have edited this post because in my pain I said unduly harsh things about people's personal character, and lost sight of focusing on their professional character. The above is more fair of a representation than my original opening.

We came to them with an injury case for my father in law after a hospital crushed his leg in a medical lift. If you're from Orange County, you know exactly what hospital I'm talking about, and have most likely had or know someone who has had an unpleasant run in with them.

On 4-30-19 we were promised an update on that issue by 5-6-19 from their medical malpractice department. On 5-1-19 my father in law died tragically at the hands of negligent medical staff. Sobo and Sobo were informed of this immediately.

By 5-7-19 we still had no word from them about anything, so I left Alexander a message. His vociemail states that he "is committed to calling back all clients by the end of the day". By 5-9-19 there was still no call back, so I left an additional message. On 5-13-19 i spoke to two different clerical staff who stated Alexander was in that entire week and I guess just forgot about his grieving clients and his commitment to call people back.

I demanded to speak with someone immediately to find out if we signed a retainer with them, or if we could seek new legal representation. The staff insisted that ONLY Alexander could discuss this with us and that they would ensure he called back that day. Surprise surprise...he did not call. We are now left in legal limbo with no ability to move forward with this unpleasant business.

Had I known in advance that my brother in law had a car accident case with Sobo and Sobo still not addressed after YEARS before we walked in that office in April, I would have advised my family to go elsewhere immediately and avoided this unnecessary stress during our grieving process. But alas, hindsight is always 20/20.

Funny enough, I told the first woman I spoke with yesterday that I noticed Gregg himself or one of his staff always try to save face by responding to negative reviews and that if I did not receive a call back that day I would give them something really good to respond to. I guess they assumed I was not going to follow through.

I think they are great! My workman’s comp case is being handled through SOBO & SOBO I haven’t met many of them but I’m sure they are all great! William Morrison is a great lawyer he returns all my calls in a timely manner and is always updating on my case. No one better than Sobo & Sobo

Terrible experience. Unless it's a basic No Fault car accident, you may want to go with a more qualified Law Firm. They have a large Firm but there Attorney turn over rate is ridiculous. I was with this Firm for 2 year's and within that 2 yrs. I was assigned 3 different Attorneys. There is a lot more I can say. But this will turn into an essay rather than a review.My advice is stay with the smaller Law Firm's where your treated like a human being, not just a case.

After some bumps in the road I was assigned Thomas Kranidas as my attorney and he was amazing! Helped me with every concern and question I had. Handled my case and after 3 years finally settled out! I recommend this law firm over and over again to everyone.

I had the worst experience with this law firm and do not recommend them. They are unresponsive to emails and phone calls. They don't inform you on updated information as they obtain it. The paralegal we dealt with was extremely rude and unprofessional. She actually told me that I was too close to her and I needed to move away from her after she rudely asked me to show her the numerous amount of errors they made on my contract. I will not use or recommend this firm to anyone!
