For a Workmen’s Compensation case. At the time of our first meeting, Present at the meeting was my current attorney whom I had been under advisement with for more than a year.
He was referring my case to Attorney James White.
Attorney White understood at this time there was to be NO ACTION TAKEN. NONE.
It was simply a meeting for my current attorney to give him an update, and for us to meet face-to-face. He agreed to step in and follow the strategic plans and guidelines of my current attorney.
Of which I had been advised to wait for tbe insurance company to notify me. We were to have no contact with them. Once they did I would get in touch with attorney White.
So I thought it was odd when he requested I sign release forms Without his counter signature or dating them; BUT
Naïvely I did. He declined to counter sign them in front of me and made up some excuse. (I quite honestly don’t remember what he had said. ) however I did sign the forms and complied with NOT putting a date mark on them. I left him with JUST MY SIGNATURE ON BLANK FORMS. NO DATE MARK.
The forms were standard, any attorney would ask you to sign them.
requesting information releasing health records from drs. contact with employer, for employee info , notice to insurance company as my Attorney on record. Etc.
BE WARNED. DON’T SIGN BLANK FORMS
TWO WEEKS LATER He falsified these forms adding a “cc “ With my name on the respective cover letters so the recipients would think I was made aware of this.
I WAS NOT!! NOR did he or anyone in his office sent a copy of these letters via email or Notified me by mail.
He must’ve known this was out of line because he himself did not add a date to these forms when requesting the informationAnd notifying my insurance company that he was my attorney on record and all correspondence should go to him. when notifying my insurance company he was my attorney on record, and all correspondence should go to him.
He added his signature ONLY!
I Only learned of this now, because my insurance company did reach out to me, FIVE Months after my initial meeting with Attorney White. They Informed me I could only get my information through my attorney who had filed as “my attorney on record ” on July 5, 2019. TWO WEEKS AFTER our first meeting.
My initial meeting with James White and a second Worker’s Compensation attorney present was on June 19,2019.
Upon meeting with Attorney White, I knew he would straighten out the rather complicated position I was in. He sat with me for as long as it took to talk through the process, what to expect – and he even set up my appointment with one of Boston’s top hand/wrist neurosurgeons. This neurosurgeon performed my first carpal tunnel release surgery last week.
I am very grateful to Attorney White, and his paralegal Kristie couldn’t have been any more patient with my barrage of concerns and inquiries – further easing my worry. I cannot stress how integral she was in the whole process.
One of the major lessons I learned is that when it comes to a worker’s compensation case, don’t go it alone.
I highly recommend Attorney White to anyone looking for an honest, receptive, and personable attorney who will respond to your questions and concerns quickly, handle your case with unparalleled professionalism, and fight for you in court. I consider myself very lucky to have landed in his office. If I ever need an attorney again, he will be the first I call.
