I had Marlene Y as my Attorney. I'm not sure if she's still at Black Chapman, Petersen and Stevens, but she did a terrible Job with my disability. She failed to keep current on my Case. She was unaware or had forgotten about my court date coming up in a week. A year prior to this court date, she had informed me we would meet 6 months before court and would meet again one week before we appeared before the judge. Neither happened. If I had not called her 3 days before the court date she would not have remembered. She was unaware of the upcoming court date or it slipped her mind completely. She told me that since we were not able to meet 6 months prior to my court date, and the week before court, she informed me we would meet at the SSDI Building an hour early to prep me and go over everything. She did not show up an hour early. I tried multiple times to to get in touch with her, but I continued to get her voicemail. She showed up 15 minutes late when we were supposed to be sitting in front of the judge. We only had 5 minutes to go over everything while she had the other Attorneys go ahead of us while she prepped me for maybe 5 minutes, if that. She was extremely unprepared and thumbled through my paperwork as I spoke to the judge. I was so embarrassed that my Attorney who was supposed to stand up for me, made us both look like idiots! She looked like an idiot because she was extremely unprepared for my case, and I looked like an idiot because I chose her to be my Disability Attorney. Sad to say, I lost the case. I met all guidelines, and qualifications that SSDI requires to be classified as being disabled , and we still lost, because I was basically representing myself.

Ive used this Law Firm a few times before for a couple of MVA's and both times I left unhappy and frustrated! The Attorney I seen was rude and didn't want to waist his time on a small claim. I guess they're great if you have a big claim that's going to bring in a lot of money. But for smaller claims, what I have experienced, you're a waist of time. I was hoping that each time I used them, it would be different and better. Sadly enough they never did improve.
