If I could select ZERO stars, I would. I wasn’t even made aware of this balance until I went to pull my credit report. All of that aside, I have been attempting to pay them in full. After a dozen phones calls, 4 confirmed faxes requesting a payoff statement and misinformation, I’m still unable to give them the money. After asserting that something was wrong with their fax machine...two days later, they have a repair person looking at it. Ummmm...if multiple people are telling you they’re getting confirmation of a successful fax and you keep saying you haven’t received them, something is wrong! How crazy is it that you’re attempting to pay a debt collector who places so many barriers in your way! You’d think they’d want the money!

Worst place ever. Refuses payments. Leads you to believe you have made a payment plan, then files a judgment in court behind your back. Dishonest and unethical and unprofessional. Not even real lawyers. A collection agency. People who couldn't work in in a real law firm. They are rude and liars. Beware!

Terrible place. You set up payments and when you know you are going to be late on a payment, they act understanding and are not. I go to pay the rest of my balance off and am informed i owe more! When I ask why the hell I owe so much more and they are wrong, they inform me well we filed for garnishments today so it was $120 for the e-file and $15 for your employment. Uhm thanks dickweeds! I appreciate that. They had a notice too.

Although they we're trying to speedily garnish my wages they were extremely fast at stopping it when I showed proof of being ungarnishable. They weren't very happy but they notified my employer on the same day. My employer had already mailed them a check and when it was received they promptly refunded it to me which I was not expecting. What can I say about a bill collector? They are just doing their job but I think they were reasonable to work with. Quite rude on the phone at first but with patience I was able to get them to stop assuming and hear my questions. Then I was able to get straight answers. I blame this on all the bad calls they must get daily though. Over all I would say they were fair as can be in their profession.

Ann is the only one there that I will speak to because she is not rude and takes the time to walk me through things. Everyone else I have ever dealt with is very condescending and pretty much nothing short of evil. They should all take lessons from Ann.

the lawyer Craig something told me one amount in court and got back to his office and the amount doubled. Bottom line get EVERYTHING in writing because they will lie to your face like the scum they are. The people on the phone were not helpful either. A complete waste of oxygen is being breathed by these vultures.

Heuer Law office is a joke. I almost feel bad for them, because it’s clear that this is all they’ll ever amount to in their lives. It’s basically a pathetic excuse for a “law firm” for “lawyers” that can’t make it as actual lawyers. They make basically no profit by playing the system and screwing people over. I could go on all day about how awful I think every single person associated with this place is, but I think they’re fully aware that they are the parasitic scum of society. They want to make a minuscule amount of money behaving like complete jerks, all while making this world an uglier place and messing with their own karma. Try to avoid any interaction with them if you can.

the women that answers the phone is the rudest individual I have ever spoken to. I settled my debt but never received the satisfaction letter so i may get the debt of my credit report. She proceeded to tell me it wasn't her problem and I needed to send them another 25.00 for a copy of it. And the only way I will get it certified mail is if i include that envelope too. What a joke.

Not very friendly over the phone, no easy way to pay. Either have to go in which is a distance for me, or send a check. There is also no voicemail if you call after hours.

This is the most unprofessional law office I have ever dealt with. Called three months prior and reached a decent settlement and was never told I had a certain amount of time to give the settled amount. I received that information on the phone with them today and also told them I have the settlement amount right now cash and they didn’t accept it nor could they pull up our phone conversation stating that they told me I had a certain amount of time. I was hung up on twice by two different employees and also was spoken to real rudely to. POOR BUSINESS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. When I asked to speak to the attorney I was told I couldn’t and that the attorney was busy, but the people I was on the phone with could put me on hold and talk with the attorney, so obviously the attorney wasn’t that busy.

Super unprofessional, the receptionist Bre was rude and unprofessional, didnt explain or help. Useless. Find new help to collect your debts.

Received a summons to appear in court regarding some unpaid medical bills. I have been in contact with this firm almost every day since receiving the summons to try to work out payment. The payment I offered them of $100 per month wasn't good enough. It is more than I can afford but was willing to cut some other corners to do it. Then told them I wanted to work out somethjng to stop the judgement. They said they could only do that will full payment. So I told them I was going to see what balances I had left on credit cards so I could try to pay this. Finally when I had the total amounts that I would be paying from each credit card listed, I called to take care of the full balance.

That was when they told me I could not pay with electronic payments, only cashier's check or certified check! Supposedly they don't have the "ability" to accept electronic payments. I can swipe a card on my phone to accept credit card payments at craft fairs but this law firm isn't able? I told them to kiss my behind. I will see them in court and if I have to I will file bankruptcy. I do NOT want to, but they won't work with us AT ALL. Refused to take my payment.

Heuer Law Office is a group of individuals committed to making sure you feel as little as possible. They train their people to talk stern, establish that they are dominating the conversation, and belittle people at all costs. After going through rehab for chemical dependency and alcoholism, I had multiple delinquent accounts and got letters from them. I recently called them to let them know that I was sorry that I let it go so long, and that I was ready to set up a payment plan and begin paying on my next pay check. The next thing I knew, 2 weeks later, I got an email from our accounting team that I was having my wages garnished by Heuer and that effective immediately I would have 25% of my income from each check deducted. Now if I owe money then that is one me, and to blame someone else for this is not reasonable. That being said, when I spoke with them in good faith, I told them I was ready to start making payments. The lady I spoke with was rude, condescending, and threatening. After I found I my wages were being garnished with a little baby on the way - the first for me and my wife - I called them to ask why they garnished my wages so quickly after I made an arrangement with them. The woman told me it was "my fault" that I didn't make a payment and when I asked her how she slept at night she said "it pays the bills". They lied to me, cheated me, have screwed my family over - and I promise you that they will pay the price in the long run. They breached our verbal agreement and just garnished my wages at the most awful time of my life. Basically we are losing over a thousand dollars in a month in a half that we promised to pay to Heuer Law Office over a period of time. Instead we lose the money faster, Heuer is making their own money - and my credit takes a bad hit after I agreed in good faith to pay them. These are really bad people and I have acquired a lawyer that has discovered an incredibly unique way to may Heuer pay the price for what they did to me. I will have the last laugh in the end and Heuer will be treading water. My condolences if you ever have to deal with these jerks. Just an all around awful experience.

Like most there is no zero star option....some people are right in saying a lawyer is a damn lawyer and they are to be as heartless as possible. They don't give 2 poops about your income or the monthly expenses you have, they want the max and they take you to court and get the max. At court I told them I could not afford a $250 monthly payment on top of bills. I said I could go as high as $150, unfortunately they got their $250 a month. So with that I got soooo far behind on monthly bills and missed a couple of their payments so my daughter could get her diabetic supplies and I wouldn't loose my car or phone. Instead of just bringing down the monthly payment to what I could afford they are taking me back to court. I want to be done with this damn place because they are so cold and heartless...just have to do what you have to do and never go to this lawyer office if you needed help!

They refuse to send monthly statements, account information or even annual statements to tell me what is owed. I missed 1 payment due to a lack of communication on their part and they had my liscense suspended and sr22 extended 3 years!! Over $50.

I have had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with 3 different law offices this year in regards to medical bills. Out of the 3 Heuer has been the most accommodating and understanding. They have been willing to work with me every step of the way and have done it with compassion.

If I could give zero stars I would. This law firm was representing Affinity Health System and attempting to collect a debt from me. I attempted to contact them numerous times to get a copy of the claims/debt owed with minimal luck. When they finally sent me the itemizations I was requesting, I then got a summons for small claims less than a month later to appear in court that same month. After going into small claims court it was then suggested by the judge we do mediation via the county's conflict resolution center and discuss payment options. A few months later I go in for mediation and Heuer Law is present only via phone. I attempt to discuss a reasonable payment and they would not hear any of my pleas. I had printed off paperwork to show them what I made and my current bills and show that the most logical amount would have been $25/month. Over the phone they would cut me off and have nothing to do with my requests. They demanded I pay $100/month. The ladies who were in the court house mediating had to console me afterwards. This "law" firm is unwilling to work with people and they have a lack of customer service as well. Would highly suggest using any other law firm if possible. If you get stuck dealing with them, I wish you the best of luck!

Wish i could give 0 stars!!!! I had to call to request a copy of my lease because i was a former tenant of an apartment complex they represent. They lady that answered phone was extremely rude for no reason at all. Im glad they are not my attorney's office with this type of service i would never step foot in there or recommmed them to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

I must say this firm has some of the most dishonest people I have ever encountered. It wasn't until I had my banker actually attempt to be a part of a conversation with the lady from Heuer that people finally saw what I had been dealing with. I received a different answer every time I made an attempt to settle an account. Bottom line, they are mean bullies. if I could give negative stars I sure would. Unfortunate that I had to give 1 star in order to post this.

I had the unfortunate event of having to go through this twice within two years for my medical bills from children's hospital and pro health care. However, each time I dealt with them I was always impressed. They were always really friendly upon the initial call to set up arrangements. They tried as best to work with what I can afford. A lot of lawyers and collection agency's use scare tactics and intimidation but they were upfront and honest. Each time I call to make a payment they have a good tone. And no. I am not a family friend. I am real person that owed $4000 worth of medical bills. Not that I want to experience this again, but if I had too..I hope i can deal with a company like them.

These people do not work with you at all, no matter how much of a bind you are in. They are horrible people in a small, run-down, shack of a building with spider webs by the front door and near the mail box. The building represents them and reflects shabby, despicable, ugly, smart-mouthed, losers. They really have poor service. Steer clear of these monsters if you can. I can't express how repulsed I am about how horribly they conduct business. If there were lower scores, theirs would be in the negative billions. I hate them and so will you!

Someone called me asking me to give them my ss# and dob. Tge caller sounded like they were foreign. I get foreign scam xalls all the time demanding i pay or i will be arrested. I was not going to give that info to someone who refused to provide identity or business information. If its legitimate company why do u refuse to tell me who u are? She hung up and literally hours later my credit karma notified me that i had a debt collector on my report. Absolute bull* . This is medical bills from a car accident. When its settled it will be paid. I had 2 surgeries and was off work for several months. I cannot pay but now i have a judgement and they are trying to garnish me. A $2000 debt they probably bought for $100.

Thankfully, I did not have any of the above issues with them. I would be very mad too. I must have gotten lucky. However, they will not mail statements that is a FACT. I have to call and ask for one and mail in a self addressed stamped envelope or just verbally accept. I have 2 payments left and I hopefully NEVER have to do this again. Damn Aurora for not billing correctly! Still after 3 years.

Ive been paying off an accident for a while now. And the only resonable one i have talked to is john M. But i just asked for a of paper showing how much i paid and how much i owe. And i was told they dont do envelopes and i need to send one if i want my paper. You're a law office and you dont have one envelope?

I called to pay off my debt and was told the only way I can do it was to drop off a cashiers check to them. They couldn't take my credit card, debit card or check by phone. You would think if they were a debt collector they would be willing to take payment in any format. If I mailed the payment they couldn't guarantee the amount will be accurate when they receive the payment because there is also interest they charge.

I had a hospital bill that I filed bankruptcy on. I was told to fax over my discharge. I did. Sure they didn't acknowledge the fact I did fax it over. I had called State collections to find out all medical was cleared on accounts. But one. The one they had gone after my employer for not guarnishing my wages. Really I filed on this account. how can you go after when the bill was included in bankruptcy. Seriously. I am now looking into getting an attorney to go after this law firm. It is a complete JOKE!. They push if off on someone else like they cant clear this from the account. Well it was cleared through the hospital and state collections. Hello!!! I will be contacting an attorney asap in regards to this crap people have to go through.

This place is something else. The girls who answer the phone laugh at you and think its funny when you are trying to reason with them. They are rude and unrealistic. I get a letter from them 2 1/2 weeks ago cooperate send my information to them they are requesting. They send a letter back stating pay XXX of dollars in less than 2 weeks or we will file the lawsuit. I called tried to reason with them asking to start my payment next month not even trying to argue the amount that is high and will be hard to do and they reply no we will not do that and amazingly the attorney who is pulling the strings never seems available to talk to at all to even try. What a joke this place is. I would love to meet them face to face on my turf lets see who is all mighty then! Nothing but a bunch of 2 bit morons who cant hack real court cases.

I rate this below 1 star. These people twist the facts to suit themselves. I missed multiple work due to illness from mold in the apartment I lived in. They claim there is no mold problem. Why then are there permits for underground work for drainage issues and venting to the attic as a feeble attempt to alleviate some of the dampness in the walls? I have lost so much time and pay, as well as personal property during their client's remodeling and they have dismissed my claims and lied about the condition of the property. They owe me over $5k and because I could not take off from work for the mediation that they scheduled the damn court awarded a judgment against me. I have contacted an attorney and am going to fight this and if need be get this on TV. No one should have to deal with this kind of treatment. Legal justice????NOT

The law firm refused to work with me and garnished my wages putting me under the poverty line. When it was brought to their attention they denied it. The receptionist acted as a lawyer over the phone and told me she had the right to act as an attorney in their absence. She also told me they were recording the phone call but when I said the same they hung up on me and have refused to take my phone calls. These are the most unprofessional people you could ever deal with. Currently working with an attorney to sue this law firm. I recommend everyone do the same. If you have to go to court for these people you may want to state reviews to the judge and explain that even if they accept a $20 payment per month they cannot garnish your wages. STAY CLEAR OF THIS FLY BY NIGHT "LAW" FIRM. They have no information on their website or email to contact them.

Heuer represented one of my creditors. They were very difficult to deal with and demanded an unrealistic pay back schedule. I understand that they rep the hospital, not me, but has compassion and professionalism gone the way of the Dodo bird? Lawyers have no soul...
