I am a semi truck driver. I was issued an impeding traffic citation in Grand Rapids area. Called the firm to get advice on whether there is any point of fighting the ticket. We obtain the service of Van Den Heuvel Law Office, or at least tried to. Nothing was done after nearly a year. Would not recommend this lawyer to ANYONE. During one of our meetings Van Den Heuvel SR blatantly told my father and I that he had "bigger and more important clients to tend to".... he is a good example of what is wrong with lawyers, they are suppose to support you and defend you in times of needs and he was too worried about what HIS profit would be. I wish I could have clicked on 0 stars, for it wouldn't let me. Also wish we wouldn't have hired him and wasted money.

I had a brief consultation with Howard. While I did not retain his services, and thus cannot state his qualifications as a trial lawyer, I can state that he is a thorough, up front and honest individual. We discussed my situation and came to the conclusion that there was a very unlikely chance that the outcome would be in my favor and that retaining his services would simply be throwing good money after bad. Don't get me wrong, he was willing to take on the case, but also stated that it might not be the most effective use of my funds.

He's realistic and straightforward, and I would most certainly consider him for future legal services.

Horrible attorney I would not recommend him for anything he will take your money and do nothing one word LAZY all the lawyer Jokes you hear he is the definition. He didn't even leave the office and I was beat by someone with a welfare attorney when he was paid $4000 up front. His receptionist wrote the first and only motion and that was completely wrong, I would have done better without him this was a easy case I just wanted to make sure I won. But somehow I lost and the woman has given a child for adoption cause she couldn't handle a child had 3 child abuse cases against her burnt a baby with a cigarette just horrific things and she was awarded what she wanted 50/50. Its not because he is for men/father rights because I am a man and he did the same for me screwed now paying a lawyer bill and my daughter is coming home with cuts scrapes and bruises diaper rash and loses 4 lbs after 48 hours being with her so called mother. Please find a different attorney PLEASE DON'T do this to yourself

Professional team got my ticket reduced to a non point ticket without even going to the court hearing. Which is great as a CDL driver.

Howard was the worst attorney i have ever used. He billed for services before they were even preformed. Had to fire him and hire another attorney because he was just money hungry .

I would not recommend This law firm to anyone. You are better off representing yourself. Howard Van den Heuvel miss represents himself. First of all he is an advocate for father's rights so for all of you mothers who are looking for help, look else where. When my wife hired him to do some work for her I ended up doing most of the research work for him in order to get our case moved to our state because he doesn't even know the case law for the state of Michigan. worthless!!!! He wouldn't go after her ex when he was ordered to pay her legal fees. Her ex owed her back support, she had a lien on the back support, he recieved his lump sum and spent it and she never got a dime and Howard never did a thing about it, even though he violated the liens. He refused to take it to court!!! And then he is trying to double bill us using some line that he changed his accounting system and doesn't have the old system so we can't see the copies from all of the old filing system he used to have. Gee Howard what would you show the IRS if they come to audit you? Hmmmm that's an idea!!!!! ONE LAZY ATTORNEY RIGHT HERE FOLKS!!!!
