Really bad experience. Went there with my son We set down waiting to be called in, there was a man trying to get help on some direction on a child custody but the women at the window said they don’t help with that, this man was bagging for help they turn him away, the sadness on the man face was as he had no hope. My son was called, right away they wouldn’t let me come back with him he was battling with the same thing came out very sad looking hopeless. This place is not helpful at all, I know my son needed help but we couldn’t afford a lawyer. This was so sad to see, two young man crying for help for almost the same thing but getting shut down. What is legal Aid is for, so far I just seen no help from legal Aid and for that man and my son they felt no hope.

I just sat on hold for almost 30 minutes to be treated completely unprofessionally by the woman who answered the phone. She was extremely rude and condescending. I was so offended I had to hang up on this woman! I can NOT believe they have this person answering the phone in a place that's supposed to help people! ☹

Awesome place for advice. But when I was done wrong, i couldn't be represented. I won anyways by myself. Thank u God. N thank you LA, for the advice that I struggled to prove. Without counsel. But persistence mostly pays, off. Another drove graduating, as a Nurse in 1.5yrs. N will be able to afford my own counsel. Simple

No parking anywhere. No metered parking, it's all thru Motu. You have to download an app and then use a credit card. I could've sat there the whole time and not paid I suppose but I didn't. Rates seemed to be a bit cheaper than the ramps nearby but not as good as some free public parking for legal aid.

Extremely terrible experience. Receptionist was always nice and polite, however, I NEVER EVER received an answer to whether or not I was getting help with my divorce case. Danielle was my assigned case worker. I left her half a dozen messages TWO WEEKS after I was promised I would have an answer as to if my case would be taken on by legal aid. I had a court date coming up and never got a response. Danielle finally responded THREE DAYS prior to the court date, she left a very vague voicemail, and I immediately called back within 5 minutes of her calling me, she did not answer. She never responded to my follow up voicemail begging her to answer my questions because I was so confused. I most DEFINTELY needed help, and most definitely qualified for it. I HAD TO REPRESENT MYSELF, against my cheating ex husband and his paid lawyer, because I never got a response. The only reason I’m leaving this review is because I’m disgusted at the complete lack of communication on Danielle’s end, and I was promised I get a definitive answer way back at the beginning of March. As of March 28, I still never received any further communication from Danielle. Very upsetting and traumatic for a now single parent who’s had to be a stay a home mom for 9 years and has no family or financial safety net to fall back on to. -Ambriel S

I filled out 30 minutes worth of paperwork. Then to come find out they only help people with domestic abuse cases. So no helping others In need.

I was not impressed by the callousness of the answers. Sorry, your child was taken out of state by you drug addict ex. Nothing you can really do. How about I'm sorry you're going through this these are the steps you can take to get custody. Heartless is the word to describe it.
