If you're petitioning for guardianship, I cannot say enough good about Antoinette Frazho! She was wonderful from start to finish. UPDATE: Mr. White and his associate, Alex Rusek, shredded the Capital Area District Library's case against me and it was dropped by the prosecutor. It's true that the library's nonsensical, unproveable claim about anti-Trump grafitti in a restroom was ludicrous, especially claiming it to be a felony, but it would have been a much more difficult defense if I had been on my own. White and Rusek left the prosecutor helpless and the library security guard humiliated. Moreover, I was always treated with the utmost respect by Mr. White and everyone who works in his office.

INITIAL IMPRESSION posted earlier: Attorney James White was described as an aggressive, pro-active defender, so I decided to seek his counsel. It was true. He took the time to listen, but then went right to the heart of the matter and took action. I immediately felt I was in good hands.

Moreover, his office staff did everything to put me at ease before he arrived. I was offered the beverage of my choice and a comfortable place to sit. This might seem like a minor thing, but these things help a beleaguered spirit hold on to dignity. I mean, how many times are you told you can turn a television up, down, off, or change the channel in a waiting room?

I enjoyed speaking with office assistant Sohela in the short time I had to wait for paperwork to be completed and Director of Operations Blake Lertzman was organized and kind at the same time.

• I would NOT recommend this firm or specifically, Ms. Frazho for Guardianship specifics. Very incompetent, misleading and dishonest staff (paperwork falsely filled out, lack of follow through). My case should of never been a case as it did not meet legal criteria according to the form. The form was incorrectly filled out, box 6b was checked, that does not and did not represent my situation and it was submitted. During the hearing, with CPS recommendations that my grandson should be placed with me, the judge could not rule as it was out of his jurisdiction to do so due to the fact I did not met criteria, regardless how he felt personally he could not grant the motion, he stated this. The judge specifically asked if Ms. Frazho if a petition was prepared for him, she responded she did not. The form states specifics, I did not meet those from day one, I was transparent with my information, and even pressed the issue further due to feeling unsettled about the responses I was receiving. I was told that the minor child ONLY had to be in my care the day of filing, but can return to his home if requested by the parents, that he did NOT have to be living with me....I have proof of this exact response via email from Ms. Frazho. I asked for a full refund of my retainer fee, and had no response I was misrepresented, mislead, and ethically treated wrong. The consistent lack of communication, follow through, and incompetency of the staff, primary Blake and Desmond, are unable to offer any help regarding general questions (unless fee related), yet you're advised to reach out for anything you may need, this resulting in further charges being accrued because they have to resort to asking Ms. Frazho, while never returning your phone call as they agreed too, causing me to have to call again and again to resolve a question 3-4 days prior. The amount of stress this whole "case" caused, was something that could of been avoided if Ms. Frazho was knowledgeable of legal boundaries and regulations, in this case she did not display that, costing me more than a $2000.00 retainer fee. Be AWARE, there is a criteria, go to the court house and obtain a copy for yourself, to see if you meet criteria, before investing in legal help, ask questions and go with your instinct, I wish I would of, but I trusted this attorney to also know her scope of practice.

My case was just a speeding ticket.
The director told me the cost won't go too far from $500 in the first place.
BUT, eventually they charged me for another $396!!!
SO, the total became $896!!!
We even didn't need to go to the court for hearing.(I couldn't imagine how much more it will cost if we went to hearing.)
I really felt that I was deceived...

When I needed an attorney for my son almost 2 years ago, the charge was shoplifting. I desperately needed a good attorney because my son had previously served time in a a Michigan prison. I knew he could not survive this experience again.
Over the next year he picked up many new charges including two more shoplifting, several gun and ammunition charges, possession and intent to sell meth, weapons charges, manufacture of marijuana and intent to sell and possession of an illegal knife. These charges were in Clinton and Ingham county and at one time there was a $200,000 bond. There were many times that I could not see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Throughout this horrible experience both attorneys were supportive and truthful and never judgmental. They always told us what the outcome could be and it was not good.
After my son had been in and out of jail on bond with all these new charges, my husband and I decided we had to try something different. All of my son’s charges were due to his substance abuse. We had tried different rehabs in the past with no success but believed that a rehab in Minnesota would be our best and last shot. The first step was to get the prosecutors and two county judges to release him on a reasonable bond.
At this point we were working with Alex Rusek. He met with the prosecutors in both counties, the two judges and my son’s probation officer and persuaded them to agree to let my son go to Minnesota for rehab. The bond on the remaining charges was $17,500. My son was living in Minnesota from October till February in treatment and flying back for court dates. When it came down to his sentencing in Ingham county he was left with a possession of meth charge and possession of ammunition charge. All of the other charges had been dropped because of Alex Rusek’s hard work. He was sentenced to just one and a half years probation with time served. The knife charge in Clinton county was dismissed due to the legal arguments of Alex Rusek. It has been 10 months and my son is still clean and sober.
This outcome would not have been possible with out the efforts and arguments of Alex Rusek to get the court system to give my son another chance.
If you need a lawyer that will work hard for you, is familiar with the prosecutors and judges, will never judge you and get the outcome you want and deserve , you should contact White Law. You will not be disappointed.

Having worked with Mr. White in the past, I did not hesitate to contact him when a family issue arose that involved our son being assaulted, robbed, and bullied at school. After previously filing for a personal protection order and having it denied on my own, I contacted Mr. White to discuss prospects for further action. I was hesitant to drag our son through the legal process of seeking this personal protection order, but we entrusted Mr. White and his staff to assist us with this matter. Mr. White and his staff guided us throughout the process.
