They contacted me about any inquiry into a lawsuit for my daughter's wrongful death that I had submitted with Sam Bernstein. I was paired with a female attorney named Judy and her team. Judy was very compassionate, understanding, patient and helpful when dealing with me regarding such a painful issue. In April 2018, Judy abruptly decided to leave this practice. As such, another attorney reached out to me. He called me out of the blue on a Sunday afternoon to explain to me that Judy would be exiting the firm on May 5th. He then proceeded to state that he wished for me and my family to continue the case with the firm. Before hanging up, he stated they were preparing to submitted an intent to file a lawsuit with the courts regarding my daughter's case. I informed him that I needed to speak with Judy to understand what was going on before making my decision. This unexpected news regarding this out of sight out of mind matter in my life sent me spiraling downwards in my healing process from my daughter's death on September 12, 2016. On Monday or Tuesday after this call, I recieved a packet in the mail. The packet contained the intent to file suit paperwork, I only figured this out as I began reading it. The details in the packet were matter of fact at first. I noticed my daughter's birth date was incorrect, but her death date was correct, this upset me a little, but not to bad. However, as I began to read further, I start learning how my daughter a really died, the gorry details of her last minutes. This catapulted me rapidly back into a depressive stooper. I was mentally, emotionally and physically back to the early stages of grief. I knew I was not going to stay with this firm but go with Judy or find another firm or walk away. I was in contact with Judy after she returned from vacation and informed her of what happened, she apologized and stated they were not suppose to send that out because she informed the firm it was not finalized. She proceeded to say had I read more i would seen notes and other unfinished details in that document which is why she ask not to send it out yet. I told her I was not sure what I wanted to do after this. Shortly after our conversation I recieved a letter in the mail asking me to let the firm know if I was staying with them, going with Judy or finding another firm. However, before I could decide, I was informed by the male attorney via a call from him that I was not going with Judy I was going to stay with them. I felt like I was being treated like a child by this male attorney. I informed him that I was no longer interested in pursuing the case then. He wanted to know why I had changed my mind, I explained to him my original reason for inquiring into a lawsuit and how that reason was not a viable path in michigan. I also proceeded to tell him that it was not and never have been about the money and with the recent changes to the matter, I am the only one who would be harmed by continuing the lawsuit. When I called Judy to find our what was going on, she stated she could not take the case with her as it would not be financially beneficial for her to do so. I never talked with or responded to the letter after that conversation. Then some time passes and a office associate from Thurswell calls me to state they need to set up an appointment with me to go over the next steps of the case. I informed her that I talked to the male attorney and already informed him I was not interested in pursuing the case any further. The level of compassion, care, understanding and patience I recieved upon first dealing with this law firm was no longer present after my original attorney left. I felt

This law firm is not good ,i have had 5 different lawyers on my case not one did their job right when it came to the end of my case the lawyer I had didn't fight for me at all they kept alot of my money ,please if your looking for a lawyer don't come here they are not ready yet to take on cases I should of did my own case better then the lawyer I had !

Spoke with Phyllis she said she would never take a case like mine, (Pharmacy Error) I now have to have brain surgery as stated in doctors reports due to error. Yes she is very rude, Phyllis go get an education, I know more about it! Stay away!

The Thurswell Law Firm took on a medical malpractice case for my child knowing that it would be a difficult case to prove. Ardianna listened to what my daughter had been through after needing multiple surgeries to correct something that every new born is checked for and would have been a simple fix had it been found at that time. The Thurswell law firm was such a blessing for our family. It took almost 7 years to settle our case and during that time Mr. Thurswell and Adriana Culaj became a part of our family. Honestly I didn't even want to click one star. The woman was very unprofessional and rude. I never encountered such disrespect until I spoke with her. She asked a question and cut me off with rude remarks before I even said the second word. It doesn't seem as if she is really able to even comprehend. Lack of knowledge and education obviously. I will never recommend this law firm. It's sad when someone accepts responsibility in a field they lack knowledge in with no type of communication or listening skills. You don't be rude to a client/potential client rather you want to do your job or not. If you want to make money the easy way, then maybe you should get a disability check for your mental health. She didn't seem mentally healthy enough to even take a call. Sorry, but the truth is the truth, no other way around it.

political reasons were involved i believe .milt started talking about ex governor snyder basically bad mouthing republicans right than and there i knew he gave up on my case was going to go thru with just in spite of what he was saying about republicans. but as i thought about it i figured if my lawyer is not going to give it his best its better to drop the suit..Thanks for three years of notrhing, Find better attorneys that really care about their cliants!!!!

Mark handled my auto lawsuit. Very honest hardworking. The whole staff was amazing. I also used them for my disability. I loved the fact that even before it was started they were honest about what too expect.

I'm at a lost for words with the level of unprofessionalism at this place. Phyllis was very disrespectful and showed no compassion, I lost my mother due to medical negligence, she wouldn't even let me finish a sentence before cutting me off and yelling at me like I'm a child. The receptionist gave me the run around for two weeks until I was finally connected with her to only be disrespected.

I just had the most unpleasant phone conversation with an attorney. After waiting to hear from someone about a potential medical malpractice and wrongful death case, I decided to reach out and follow up. The attorney I spoke to lack compassion for my mother’s passing and constantly over talked me every time I tried to explain the situation. The attorney didn’t even give me any contact information to follow up with him about new documents. In fact he ended the call before I could ask any questions. What’s worst Fieger Law recommended this law firm. If the attorney can’t show any compassion or insight then it’s obvious he’s not going to do a good job assisting me.

Absolutely steer clear of this law firm if you are looking for someone to listen and help! I just had the most horrendous and unprofessional experience with Phyllis. She was rude, unprofessional and wouldn't even let me finish a sentence. She has absolutely no compassion! She is condescending! She ended up just hanging up on me. Instead of explaining things to me calmly and professionally. What an awful experience and a joke!

Based on my experience and outcome as a plaintiff of an injury case from a motor vehicle accident, I do not and will never recommend Thurswell law firm. It took two years for my case to settle. I wanted to go to trial, but that would result in a longer delay which more than likely would not work in my favor. My attorney simply went through the motions and did not care about his client. During this time I had been in physical therapy and under the care of numerous doctors.
For over a year I went to medical appointments 4 times weekly and still trying to hold a full time job feeling horribly. After a year of physical therapy I still continued with my specialists. I struggled to keep working so that i could feel as if I were a productive citizen and trying to live a normal life.
I was told my medical bills would be paid. I am still stuck with unpaid medical bills. Fifty percent(50%)fees were taken from the settlement. I have received complete unfair compensation. A very very low amount. I was hit head-on and my car was totaled. I definitely did not walk away unscathed. It is 2-1/2 years later and still I suffer. I am now on FMLA(which the attorney does not know as the case is closed). Apparently the stipend settlement should be used for unpaid medical bills and current/future medical care. In good conscience, I cannot recommend Thurswell Law firm to anyone, for not only an injury case but would have little trust in any other services they provide.
On a scale of 1 to 5 stars I'd give them ZERO!

Mr. Thurswell is by far the most egotistical, insensitive, and blatantly non caring individual that I've ever had the displeasure of speaking to. After the nightmare experience my family and I had that lead to me speaking with him the resulting conversation was ended very abruptly because of his comment in response to telling him that our community hospital tried to kill my wife and unborn daughter by repeatedly denying any and every care for over 6 hours for a severe infection threatening my wife and daughters lives...his comment? "Yeah but they didn't die". Mr. Thurswell you may have 40 years of experience winning people big money but your complete lack of compassion, humanity, or understanding for a man who's whole life could've been taken in an instant because of complete medical negligence and incompetence is ridiculous. In the 15 years I spent serving my country through 5 different tours of combat enduring gunshot wounds, shrapnel, and mental anguish, then medically retired for my sustained injuries I never once regretted all the sacrifice and putting my life on the line for complete strangers until today when I was hit with the brutal and nauseating fact that I sacrificed so much for someone the likes of you.

I tried to have a discussion with Phyllis Begel who continually sighed at me through the conversation and wouldn't let me finish a thought. She told me that it would be a tough case to win, so I guess if it isn't a guaranteed win, they don't want the business. Thoroughly disgusted.
