I have never been into any kind of Trouble before they wanted me to do a year of probation Mr. Davis worked his Magic and got it dismissed with Something lower. He doesn't have a good argument, he comes late to court, and he never knows what's going on in a case until the day of court. He was never prepared to present anything to the attorney because he didn't know what is going on in the case until the day of court. If you really do research on his high success rate is in Wayne County where you can get off easily on technicalities or cops not showing up. I would not recommend him for any case outside of Wayne County. I truly believe in the saying you get what you pay for. A court pointed attorney could of been used and got the same results. I am going to procceed with filing a Attorney and Judge Grievance. Pay close attention to his case reviews and his arguments in these cases also get a full background evaluation on this attorney and his cases.

First, I am not using my real name for personal reasons. Second, I hope my frank advice from my experience with Mr. Davis helps someone here.
When you have a traffic ticket or some misdemeanor ticket, Mr. Davis or someone from his office will send an advertising letter to your mail box. He would emphasis on your ticket and how much trouble it could get you into. He would sound like a tiger who is willing to defend you to the fullest; he would tell you that he is able to provide you with aggressive defense.
I got a similar letter when I got a charged for what I did not do. I decided to fight the charge as I was sure that I was not guilty + the charge would have great adverse effect on my life. I was still reviewing online for a suitable lawyer when I received the letter from Mr. Davis’s law firm. I read his blog and saw the stories (probably made up) there. I was convinced that he was the best fit for me. I was so wrong.
Mr. Davis attended my court session about 2 times and he sent his friend, Spencer Clayton and one other lady on other times. They all only came to watch the proceedings without doing anything on my case despite the fact that I paid Mr. Davis in full (even though it was pricy). Little did I know that Mr. Davis and his people were only coming to court to see if the Police Officer would attend the trial or not. If the officer does not come, they would move for the dismissal of the charge, if the officer comes, they would accept any offer that the prosecutor comes up with.
When I found out that that was their plan, I went crazy and saw that I had probably been scammed. The issue is, if I wanted to go to the court hoping that the officer would not come or if I wanted to accept the prosecutor’s offer, I did not need to pay a lawyer $1,500 for that; I could have gone to the court by myself for that. The reason why I paid that over-charged fees was because I wanted a lawyer who could negotiate an outright dismissal with the prosecutor since they clearly had no case; or a lawyer who would defend me aggressively as he promised. If I wanted to accept a lesser conviction for something that I did not do, I would have saved my money and allowed the Public Defender get me the lesser punishment for free. In fact, the City offered me (and other defendants in court on my first day), a lesser punishment before Mr. Davis arrived the court, but I rejected the offer thinking that I had paid a lawyer to fight the original charge for me.
After I had been left with no choice than to accept the offer of a lesser punishment after few months in court, I asked Mr. Davis what he was discussing with the officer when we were leaving the courtroom, and he said that “I was asking her what she knows…” I was like “Seriously! After my conviction! So you never attempted to find out what she knew before we got to this stage!...” The first day that I met with in his office, Mr Davis had told me that he would talk with the officer to find out what she knew.
While attending the court for my case, I saw hardworking and serious lawyers who came in, had a meeting with the prosecutor and the officer, negotiated dismissal, and got the charges dismissed the same day. I wish I had met one of those lawyer before I made my big mistake of engaging a lazy lawyer who is probably good only for speeding tickets.
If you have taken the time to read my review, good for you. If you allow the review to help your decision/choices, better for you. I made a very great mistake of allowing Mr. Davis defend me; DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. Mr. Davis might be able to help you with minor traffic tickets; but if you have a misdemeanor that might impact your life, use your common sense—he will only get paid for coming to do what a public defender would have done for you for free.
I'd give him a zero star if I could.

As many have said on other reviews about receiving a letter in the mail, yes you wonder if it's a scam..I procrastinated and called a few days before my citation was due. I'm on the road a lot driving 10-12k miles a month with my own trucking business. So it's important to maintain a point free license not only for insurance, it pays my bills. I paid Mr. Davis $750.00 to represent my husband on his DUI case. At first it started off well and he said he would take his case. He showed up to my husband court date on October 19th and the judge went hard on my husband and added more to his plate. He said that she really didn't give Mr. Davis a chance to speak and when it was over all Mr. Davis said well at least he kept him out of jail. Yeah but at what cost he still had to do 80 hours of community service within a two week period and plus work at his job. Then on the same court date the judge told Mr. Davis and my husband that she wanted him to come back to court on Nov 18th. She told Mr. Davis to make sure he puts a reminder on his phone and he did. I didn't go because of my job and when I got home expecting to see my husband, he was not there. So a couple of hours went by and I got concerned. I called Mr. Davis and l left a message on his voicemail asking could he please give me any information on my husband and his whereabouts, because I didn't know anything. Finally I went to 3 police/sheriff stations looking for him and they gave me the run around until I got a answer. He was at Dickerson and we didn't know when he would get out. I haven't spoke to my husband because they haven't let him get a phone call yet and when he finally did he was at court again. I explained to him that I called Mr. Davis and my husband told me when the court date came. Mr. Davis never showed up and they threw my husband in jail. Days went by and Mr. Davis has not called me back or said anything. I paid him $750.00 the least he could of did was do his job and be reliable. My husband and I are not rich and we spent our savings on him. For him not to come through is ridiculous. I don't know why people gave him 5 stars maybe because he told them to, but he gets 1 star from me and that is because the first time "he kept my husband out of jail" waste of money and time. Now I have to spend more money on a better lawyer and hopefully get better results. My husband has done everything the judge has asked him to do and they keep bringing him down. Luckily is home and safe but still has to go through so much where there are people who get off and has done worse than him. Thanks Mr. Davis but no thanks. $750.00 gone down the drain.

Attorney Davis handled a case in Troy for me. I was involved in a hit and run that I received the ticket for (even though I wasn't at fault).
