Gloria Copland was my attorney in 2015. I’m writing this because I just read the negative reviews. I have to say that Gloria and her staff were totally professional and accommodating in every way. Gloria spoke truth about my financial future. She said I fear for you because you’re not gonna make it. It’s not what you want to hear, but it was the truth of the matter. I don’t call that insensitive, I call that advising her client of the hard true facts and is honest advice. It is 3 years since the divorce, getting the maximum amount of money and I’m getting buried in debt. I didn’t have another option so it is what it is, but I would be more concerned if an attorney told you all was gonna be roses and lied to you. So I would definitely recommend Gloria.

I consulted with Gloria Copeland nearly 10 years ago. At the time, she was preparing for a divorce trial. There were boxes upon boxes of documents stacked on the floor of her office that she boasted was for a divorce going to trial soon. I assumed it had to be a high asset divorce because why else would there be so many documents? This woman was incredibly insulting, rude, very insensitive, and showed absolutely no empathy or compassion when I shared personal marital details with her. Cold as could be. This consultation didn't feel like me interviewing her it was absolutely the other way around. She was interviewing me to see what kind of money would be involved and was assessing how many billable hours my case would generate. When all was said and done she told me I'd be better off staying married from a financial point of view. In other words my case wasn't worth her time because this wouldn't be a high asset divorce and a trial wasn't likely. She then "dismissed" me and informed me that her fee for the consultation was $350 (if memory serves me correctly - it was an insane amount any way) and that I had to pay before leaving. I left feeling absolutely hopeless about my situation and that there was no alternative other than to follow her advice. It was the worst thing I could have done. I should have consulted with another attorney. I cannot recommend this attorney to anyone.

Called for a consultation. Pretty insensitive, borderline rude, cut me off alot to ask her own questions instead of listen to the client. Very different from all other lawyers I have spoken to. Didn't give me any of the confidence that I was looking for.

This person was not patient and sensitive to the nature of our call. She was abrasive and I felt like I was defending myself while trying to speak with her. Very stressful experience especially when my family is already going through something very difficult that truly needed patience and understanding.

Called for info re: first name of Copeland just to confirm I had the correct firm. The Secretary was VERY RUDE & seemed rushed.. Geesh!!...I do know Gloria is THE BEST. Some one needs to talk to the secretary or whatever her title is answering the line. I think she could use a professional development class or 2.

I was going through a very difficult post divorce legal settlement that was compounded by lack of legal advice through the actual divorce and then poor representation just prior to the divorce. I sought attorney Gloria Copland's legal advice when I had almost given up. She is an expert in her field and is extremely compassionate and professional. Her entire team is sensitive and caring to the needs of the client. They go above and beyond what anyone would or could expect from a legal team. I would highly recommend this firm if you are going through a divorce or family law issues.
