We engaged with Leslie Hamilton for the purchase of our new home. The home is in a new development and was still being completed during the purchase process. We had so many questions regarding the builder, the builder's lawyer, our own mortgage broker, etc., and for every question we had, Leslie told us not to worry and that she would handle it. Pitbulls and pragmatists...

Hamiliton and Hamilton are tenacious pitbulls when I wanted them to be and reassuringly pragmatic when it was needed.

They have represented me in three real estate transactions and one contractor issue. I have also consulted with them on other minor issues. Each time, they listened to my concerns and took action if necessary. When they took action, they patiently guided me through the process, explained to me what is legally important what isn't, what the next steps are and what the likely outcome was.

I recommend them without any reservations or hesitation.

I called for some construction rules advice in dealing with a problem customer, and there was information that I am familiar with in the International building code book, that was also a substantiated by others, namely the person teaching the construction supervisor course and other licensed contractors, that did not agree with what Chris was describing. When I brought this up he became enraged, and said "who do you think you are I've been practicing law for 30 years" and hung up on me.

I have found other things in my first dealings with him that did not seem to agree with the written law, after my consultation with him. If a person can't even ask a question without your attorney flying off the handle at you, why bother.
