Our family retained the Baxter/Harder law firm to defend against charges filed relating to an auto accident. We felt the charges were definitely based on a misunderstanding of facts and evidence regarding the accident.

So we hired Baxter/Harder and met with Casey Baxter to review the case. The firm proceeded to do extensive independent review , analysis and investigation to clarify all relevant facts relating to the accident. It was a very detailed and professional approach.

I’m an out of state resident and had an issue from Oregon. Interviewed several and selected Casey as he is a Previous Attorney with the county and a Veteran. I’m a Veteran as well. Me not knowing Oregon constitution and law, Casey discovered that my Constitutional rights were violated and at the MVR hearing, the judge dismissed suspension of my license. Erica was knowledge about her practice, but regularly took weeks to respond to requests from us and the other attorney, if she would respond at all. After a very poor experience with a previous attorney during trial, we contacted Casey Baxter to represent our grandson after an appeal or during sentencing.

Though the court was unresponsive in forwarding documents as requested, nor in giving an extension, I felt Casey's presentation at sentencing was courteous to the judge yet informed her that previous attorney representation missed important information the judge needed and that we were at a disadvantage due to the lateness of important documents. Although this can be a bit of a tight rope walk with the court, he was successful in creating a shift in perspective that was more reasonable in charting a course forward for my grandson.

He was skilled at gathering pertinent facts and took sufficient time getting to know the case and our grandson so he could do his job well.

The only recommendation I would make for better service would be to have staff follow-up weekly when obtaining documents.

Mr. Baxter and his staff care. Plain and simple. They care what happens to you. From the first meeting I never felt like a name or a number. I was a person whose outcome mattered. I was charged with two felonies and without the hard work and knowledge of the courtroom that Casey provided their is no doubt I would have been convicted. It was amazing to watch Casey battle back when things seemed to be going the other way. He studied case files and did his homework late into the night so as to insure a favorable outcome. I'm so thankful I didn't plea bargain and allowed Casey to show me his skills. His knowledge at times seem to even help the judge. The cocky District Attorney who felt he had it wrapped up truly walked away with his head hung. Casey Baxter knows the courtroom, he knows the law, he knows what will work and not work and most of all he respects his clients. My experience with Casey Baxter was nothing short of amazing. His whole office is so helpful, his paralegal and secretary are great as well.
