I am giving Mr Myers 5 stars for the representation he gave me during my divorce, he assisted me through a very difficult time with ease and gave me the confidence I needed to get through. He was Agilent and respectful and I highly recommend him for any legal needs.

I definitely recommend Bennett for a GAL.
Family law is not an easy subject, there are many dynamics. It is mentally, emotionally and financially exhausting. When you are in the thick of everything it can be hard to see the bigger picture. Bennett was able to do just that, he was able to see everything for what it was. He is kind and easy to work with.

In my particular case things did not go the way I thought they originally should go. I also feel like I got the "short end of the stick" overall - I will leave all the details out. This should not denote that Bennett didn't do a great job. We discussed everything and came up with the most plausible solution.

My heart goes out to anyone who has to go through a legal battle with a child involved. Thank you Bennett.

I have worked with Bennett Myers and his support team for over 8 years. They have proven to be extremely valuable in representing myself and my childen's best interest. Issues are handled professionally with knowledge and compassion. I highly recommend this office for handling issues promptly, fairly and accurately

I came to Bennett in a time of crisis in my life, I would imagine, like so many of his clients, my marriage had crumbled. A friend of mine, a La Crosse County Social Worker, who had been impressed with his advocacy as a GAL and knew he was also a divorce attorney, recommended him to me. Having no experience with courts, divorce law, or such an all-consuming catastrophe, it was paramount that I find someone who could sift through the emotion and pain that comes with any divorce, and who would objectively represent and defend the issues most important to me as a woman, a mother, and a professional. My situation was further complicated by various kinds of abuse, restraining orders, intentional sabotage of my financial situation, and varying degrees of contrariness by my ex-husband. Had it not been for Bennett's resolve, stoicism (when antagonized by my ex-husband), guidance, and responsiveness, I am doubtful I would have survived my divorce with so much of my sanity intact. Most notably, Bennett represented the issues that were most important to my children and I, and had the foresight to help me make decisions that would be most beneficial in the long run. Initially, I was hesitant to seek representation from a man, for the simple reason that I questioned if a man could comprehend the situation I was in and empathetically and thoroughly represent me, turns out this was an unfounded bias on my part; Bennett quickly proved I had made the right decision, with his responsiveness, fairness, willingness to address the various challenges that arose, and empathy towards my unique situation. I can’t count the number of times I had to contact him after hours, or on weekends for legal advice, or how many times I had to schedule calls or meetings with him outside of his normal hours. His assistant Craig matched his dedication and responsiveness; he was prompt to return my messages when Bennett was unavailable, letting me know when Bennett would be able to get back to me. While those 18 months were easily the most challenging of my life, the assistance of Bennet and his staff made the whole experience survivable. Bennett is not the kind of attorney that will show up to court in a $10K watch and act as if he’s doing you a favor at an inconvenience to him, as I can attest from experience, Bennett will represent you in a respectful, passionate, factual, well-researched manner, drawing on vast past experience and a commanding understanding of the law, and the complete understanding that nothing short of your future and well-being are on the line. If I could give him 6 stars - I would; I highly recommend Bennett for any legal needs. Undoubtedly, I will call on him in the future should the need arise and suggest him to any loved ones or friends, the people I care most about, for any legal challenges life should throw their way.

I had mr. Myers as a GUARDIAN AD LITEM. At first I thought that he would be biased and racist like most of the other lawyers I spoken with but I am not going to lie I was very scared but he showed me the total opposite, in fact he was kind and understanding of my situation and straight to the point and although sometimes I felt like I was bombarding him with emails and phone calls he was very patient and again understanding he does not keep anything from you. He goes through paperwork and emails thoroughly and it's all about how hard you fight for your children... The judges respects his recommendations 100% without a doubt especially commissioner Wright.. when I say that mr. Meyers faught for my children hard he did..I am pretty sure that because he is a father he understands and can imagine the pain it is to have your children revoked from you. and I will always be forever grateful that he did his job and he did it well..Thank you Mr.Myers for Everything!!! And I would also like to thank his secretary Susie who is also very kind and patient.

In my opinion, Bennett Myers is completely worthless as a GAL. He felt my son was better off with his codependent mother. (Who at 38 years old STILL lives with her mother) She has also been diagnosed with serious mental health issues. I have no mental issues, been married for over 10 years and am successfully raising 3 other children, yet my son was better off with his, mom? I went into his office so he could give me the REAL reason he did this (off the record) and he couldn't give me any answer. I took the opportunity to inform him of my opinion of him so this review is not new information to him. Clearly he is incompetent or at the very least, ineffective. You will be better served by rejecting him and ask for a different GAL should he be appointed to your case.

Update 7/18/19

Not sure if he is still practicing law or not, but the good news is that his office on Main St. in Onalaska, WI. is closed! I celebrate this little victory but I can only hope and pray that he is done ruining families and out of business!

Bennett Meyers recently represented me in my divorce. Divorce is an emotional rollercoaster, and knowing you have representation you can really count on means everything. I was so pleased with his professionalism and thorough research. The end result was the settlement I had asked for. Thanks to Bennett, the transition was a little easier.
