Me and my girlfriend were to buy a two family house. I found Judy online, read her good reviews, and contacted her. She responded to my very quickly; after a quick call, she sent me a to do list, which is a very clear and helpful guidance. We scheduled a meeting to go over our contract. Before the meeting, she already did all the DD, and a lot of research on the house(which i am not sure if all attorneys would have done so, I purchased a condo in 2017, closed with a different attorney, back then, I didn't interact with my attorney much or discuss all terms in details, maybe because condos are easier. ). At the meeting, she explained to us about the potential issue of the house; explained the terms in contract and how we can best protect our down payment deposits in multiples ways; and all other perspectives that we should add/change in the contracts to help us, she didn't overlook any details. She didn't rush us to get in contract/close the house so she could get paid, instead, she expressed her concerns on the issues of the house, and gave us very helpful suggestions on what we could do if we really want the house. We truly felt that Judy acted best for her client, and make sure we don't get into a contract while end up with a lot of troubles. Me and my girlfriend researched more on the issues of the house, and ended up deciding not to buy the house(which saved us a lot of money and time). Judy is very experienced, and thorough, she is very honest and very straight to the point, she is definitely a great partner if you want to buy a house and we felt really lucky to work with her and she helped us stay away from a trouble house. We will find our dream house and close with Judy for sure.

I need to write this while its fresh in my mind. Do not use this lawyer. She is terrible and negligent. She has overloaded herself and missed things on more than one occasion. She has screwed me in my house purchase and in the end I have to eat the costs not here so I warn you DO NOT USE HER.

I had told her that I had wanted to move in as soon as possible yet she failed to informed us that there was a cause that included a 30 days period after the closing allowing the sellers to stay. She also failed to negotiate any monetary reim5bursement for us. So basically the sellers can stay 30 days on my dime. What kind of lawyer does this? I pay her to ensure I get what I want not to help the sellers.

Also when we signed the contract she wrote the wrong amount on my down payment check and we had to personally send another check to the sellers attorney. Talk about being unorganized.

Another time, she wasted her own time and mine trying to negotiating a clause that was already finalized. If she spent more time on the other part maybe I would not be in this predicament. She also make a mistake doing simple math through one of our email correspondence.

I believe her reviews are fake so please take my warnings to heart. You do not want her. I am so frustrated over this. I have switched a lawyer right before my closing cause she has messed up too much .

If you have her drop her. If you dont please look somewhere else.

I am a first time homebuyer who closed about 3 weeks ago.

Judy is good. She was straightforward and detailed all the costs that may be involved in the process. She was very responsive with any questions and concerns I raised throughout the process.

When we reviewed the purchase contract together, she highlighted everything of concern, including things I didn’t pick up. Throughout the process, she gave very good instructions on what to do and what to expect next. At the closing, she was very good at explaining the payment details. At the end of the process, I did not have any more questions for her. She had answered all my questions.

I would recommend her to other people and would reach out to her again for any other legal services she provides.

At closing, she broke down each cost that we were paying with our closing cost and we knew exactly how much money was to be paid before we showed up to sign the papers. My wife and I had to make some updates to our wills following the birth of our first child, and Judy was an amazing help. As first time parents we knew there would be a lot of simple, mundane administrative tasks that would need to be taken care of, but in the aggregate those simple tasks become far more daunting when also managing a 2 month old, sleep deprivation, parents/ in-laws, and work; but Judy made this entire process simple for us. She gave clear instructions, boiled the process down to the bare essentials, and made the trust options available to us easy to understand. I would highly recommend Judy.

However, it was our first time buying in New York and we knew we'd need help. I found Judy through a legal assistance program that's offered in my office and was thrilled to find that she was straight-forward and to the point after our first call.
While we waited for the paperwork from the condo she was amazing at checking in and giving me updates and was able to work with my hectic schedule to get a meeting on the books; along with sending me all the paperwork so I was able to prepare questions in advance of our meeting. When we met she had done her due diligence and thoroughly gone through all the paperwork the Sponsor had sent over - finding out that no only had the Sponsor gone bankrupt, but he had several other buildings in Brooklyn with massive issues. Judy saved us from buying in to a poorly built, potential disaster. She did the background work needed to ensure that we were taken care of and making smart investments - its rare to find a lawyer who has your back like that! This sale obviously didn't pan out, but Judy will be the only lawyer we use for any upcoming purchases!

Judy was absolutely fantastic to work with. My partner and I have just finished purchasing our first home together and we decided to use Judy as our legal representation. She provided excellent guidance out of what we were to expect, helped us understand the current state of the condo we were buying and the state of the association, and worked extremely hard to get us the best agreements we could get out of the seller.

From day 1 and our initial consultation, Judy made it very clear what she needed from us and what she needed from everyone else. As we moved forward through the process she showed us what the red flags were for our place and gave us warnings about what to expect should they prove out to be actual problems. We knew exactly what we were getting into because of her guidance and expertise.

On the day of closing, we showed up to Judy's office and she ran the entire closing process very smoothly. There were (of course) hiccups along the way but we managed to work around that just fine. During the closing process Judy made sure again that we understood what we were signing and that it was what we originally agreed to, and that we ensured that all of our monetary liabilities added up to what we had originally thought they would be. With the exception of the title company being late, we could definitely have been done within the hour.

Overall we had an excellent experience getting this done thanks in large part to Judy’s skillset. If we end up purchasing or selling again we will definitely be consulting her during that process wholeheartedly.
