My husband and I have always been responsible and never dreamed we would ever need a bankruptcy attorney, but after the economic downturn, various unforeseen events transpired that led us to Derrick's office. After talking with him, he reassured us that we could file Chapter 13 and get out from under a rental house we could not rent, sell, or afford while still paying back our unsecured debts (credit cards). I cannot tell you the relief we felt leaving this man's office. He walked us through everything, from meeting with the trustee to get our repayment plan approved to filing for a discharge at the end of the five years.
