I hired Carl, and thought his fee was a bit much $1100 for a simple bankruptcy with no assets. He told us to stop paying our bills (which you should not do) this lowers your credit score even lower, which he did not advise! The problem with him is that he took his time filing our case, he did not take care of our vehicle properly after the discharge! What was suppose to be a voluntary surrender ended up being a involuntary surrender, they came and reposed our vehicle. He was unreachable after our case was discharged! He does the bear minimal when it comes to his clients. Not worth the money!

I had an 'old' issue' with a bank that I thought was over and done with a few years back. I recieved a phone call from them regarding monies I supposedly owed them. They offered me a settlement that I wasn't comfortable with and I was not comfortable contacting and negotiating with them myself. I knew I needed the advice of an attorney and started looking. I read reviews, ratings, and inquired about attorneys in my area. This led me to calling Mr. Rolsma. I explained my situation, and he said up front that this was not necessarily his area of law, but agreed to talk with me and, if he couldn't help he may be able to recommend someone who could. That was important to me! I met with him, showed him my papers, explained my side of this situation, and sat and talked. When I asked what he thought I should do he said to my surprise, 'Lets call them'. He did, and after about 20 minutes on the phone with the bank, the bank dropped the debt, and I left thinking 'what just happened'? I believe I would not have gotten this result without Mr. Rolsma's guidance and expertise, as we sat there on the phone with the bank representative. This was a big turning point in my financial life, and I will be forever grateful for his patience, and guidance through this.

The decision to hire a lawyer, no matter what the circumstances, is very stressful and emotional.
