BEWARE!! I would not recommend this firm to anyone! The rumor that Ed Donahue is the lawyer to have in McHenry County is a complete LIE. The fact that Ed is even considered a lawyer is laughable. He doesn't do anything on your case besides get continuance dates, and he pawns off anything else on one of his young inexperienced lawyers. They are all about the $$ and that's it!

I wish I read the reviews before hand because the low ones are so true.. they dragged my case on for over 2 years until I fully paid them off then once I pay them off tell me I have to do all these things and if I finish before a date I don’t have to go in. They didn’t give me my proper paperwork and I called them for MONTHS and every time they don’t call me back so now that I’m done paying you can’t help me. But you’re supposed to be my lawyer they’re in it for the money only the lawyer would make eye contact with me in court then ignore me when he was up talking to the judge so I’d have to go up to him after he finished talking about everybody else. And then it was always a different one between the two but they never really talked to me they didn’t even try to get me the best deal they could and didn’t tell me anything real about my case. If I could give negative stars I would!!!!!

Positive place to be if you have issues. Not out to make money off your ill fortune. Fair fees and caring attitudes.

Horrible law firm - stay away!! If I could give a 0 rating I would. They were rude, incompetent, didn't communicate and flat out lied to me about my case. I don't feel that they fought for me or cared about the outcome of my case and if I hadn't been on top of getting the desired results and understanding everything that was going on the outcome would have been completely different!

Man for a year and a half about every 2 months I was screwing up catching petty misdemeanors. Already was on a conditional discharge for one and I just kept stacking em up. Used these guys when I was 16 for my DUI walked out with nothing. They managed to get everything dropped except the one charge. Every question I asked was answered quickly and knowledgeably, and I was never pressured into making any decisions. I’d youre looking for a firm filled with intelligent, hardworking attorneys, this is where to go.

Not once did I get a call from any of my 5 attorneys that represented me.... only got calls back from the receptionists when I called. Mind you this case has been going on for almost a year for a petty offense. Very dissatisfied!

I do not recommend anyone to this law firm. After speaking to Patrick Walsh he assured me he would represent me in court. He was a no show to my court yesterday morning at 8:30a.m. I was expecting a call with an apology but I got nothing. I should’ve read the negative reviews before calling here. Lesson learned.

They are supposed to be my attorney, yes they got full payment but I think they forget who they are representing. Using this firm is more like Let's Make a Deal and not looking at the case. I guess this would be fine if you were guilty of something, but not when you are innocent. I truly Don't recommend using them at all

Excellent service

Awful experience. A year into the case, my lawyers did not know where we were in the case, and every month would continue to ask for payment, even though I paid in full within 2.5 months and made 3 visits to the office (a half hour away) to get acknowledged for the payments I made. Sloppy ethics to say the least.
To make a very long story short, they showed no genuine interest in my case, who I was, or my name for that matter. They wanted the money and that’s all they care about. The topping on the cake was the awful result they produced after a year on the case, on the most simple of cases to win.
If you want a legal team that will give you genuine concern and care and results for your money, STAY AWAY FROM THIS LEGAL TEAM! FAIR WARNING.

Warning! Do not go to this firm for a DUI. They will defend you on a minimal basis. Your license will be revoked even when it shouldn’t be. They are out there to make money for any city in McHenry County and for the court system. They did close my case. Had to hire another attorney. So these lawyers owe me some money back for not finishing their job and not in a timely basis and the suffering I am now going through.

Since the court appearances dragged out for 2 1\2 years I have major panic attacks. Lost 2 cars and 2 jobs. And now I can’t work and have major depression. Can’t find another job because of no car and depression. Now I’m going thru the disability process.

Donahue & Walsh is not a traditional Law Firm. You bring the "CASH" and they will get you a Plea Bargain and some time in jail. They are not what you would call "diligent" by any means nor are they engaging Attorneys who will fight for you. These attorneys are fast talkers, hungry to make a sale much like a "used car salesmen".

I met Mr. Cohen through my job and right off the bat he is such a down to earth man. He has helped me out beyond what he is required to do as a lawyer. He is very easy to talk to and knows what he is doing when he is in the court room. Being as young as I am I was very nervous to have to go through any court cases but Mr. Cohen made sure I was completely informed and kept me up to date on every single thing that was going on with my cases. There is not one other person I would trust with any legal work. Mr. Cohen is an amazing lawyer.
