August 2019 I was referred to Abdo Law for a legal matter by a fellow attorney. I could not have been referred to a better place for my situation. They pressured me into paying first half of the fee they were asking me to represent me, I recently called them asking them for my money back and they told me that they can’t give me any of my money back, they did not represent me or do anything for me. They extorted me from $500, when I got on the phone with one of them they told me that the whole office thinks that I shouldn’t get a cent back from the $1000 I gave them in the beginning but since he’s nice he’ll give me $500 back, he said take the $500 or don’t get anything. Then I went into their office to get the check for $500 and they kept telling me that $500 is what we agreed on. When in reality they told me get $500 back or nothing. they started to curse at me and kicked me out, without even giving me a copy of what I signed. These people use scare tactics to lure you into paying them more for service. I would not recommend anybody to use them to represent you unless you want to be pressured, scammed and lied to.

In May of 2019, I was charged with a felony retail fraud. At this time, I was already on probation out of circuit court for a felony retail fraud from 2016, as well as New Baltimore for a 2017 misdemeanor retail fraud. The 2019 felony retail fraud charge violated me in both courts. It also made me a habitual offender with 6 priors.

I hired Abdo law firm at a very fair price in June of 2019. Ultimately, Joe Campbell represented me at most of my hearings, which included 2 probation violations as well as my 2019 felony retail fraud case.

New Baltimore probation violation sentencing went as follows, 6 months non-reporting probation, no jail time, no additional fines or costs.
At my circuit court probation violation hearing I was successfully discharged from probation for my 2016 case and my 7411 was reinstated, no jail time, no additional fines or cost.
Sentencing for 2019 felony retail fraud, reduced to a misdemeanor, habitual dismissed, 6 months probation, $125 in fines and costs.

I did not spend one day in jail for either violation or my new charge, the sum of my fines and costs totaling $125.00. Only 6 months probation, both reporting and non, which run concurrent with each other.

To say I’m happy and grateful is an understatement. Thank you so much Joe! You heard me out and represented me so well! I do not believe I would have walked out of court today a free person had it not been for you. Thanks again guys! So very appreciated.

If I could rate Abdo Law no stars I would. My husband and his father obtained them for a few different issues my husband was having at the time. The main one was a complete B.S. Retail Fraud 2nd degree, my husband was charged back in May of 2018 in Roseville. We weren’t to concerned about that because we knew the whole situation was a common human error. Anyway while he caught this charge he was on Felony Probation through Macomb County Circuit Court, that’s we’re the issue was because is he were to be sentenced and found guilty, Judge Druzynski would violate him and he would be looking at jail time. So after spending well over $10-15,000, we decided to take the retail fraud to trial ( that’s how “confident” both Matt and Joe were. Even though they were nice individuals, I didn’t feel they took it as serious as my husband and I did. His freedom was on the line, he has an amazing job, 3 children and was the main provider for our household. Anyway we took the Retail Fraud 2nd degree to trial where he was found guilty. Therefore we had to go back to Judge Druzynski where she sentenced him to 1 whole year in MCJ, NO EARLY RELEASE, and must complete CRP Program. Not once did Joe try to fight for my husband and stick up for him. He was literally sentenced and was on his way. Still to this day I have reached out multiple of times to talk to him with no response or call back. He didn’t even have the decency to call and let me know my husband just got sentenced to a year in MCJ, thankfully the court officer let my husband give me a quick call in the dog cages to give me the news. Oh and Abdo Law is still requesting more money.
I’m very disappointed in how this all turned out and felt like we were given false hope. I’m sorry I had to write this I never wanted to write a negative review for nice people but professionally I would make sure you do your research and if you do hire them make sure you stay on top of them like super glue.

I've used Cy Abdo a few times over the past 20 years. For traffic, & misdomeaner. He's a great attorney, great at reaching an agreement with the court. He knows the court system well inside & out. Does what he says, at a fair price. Good dude realizes people make mistakes, "doesn't think he's better then you".

I would not recommend this Law Firm to anyone. I retained Cy as my attorney in order to have my drivers license restored. He promised that I'll get it back. From the day I hired him I nevered heard anything from him. On the day of my hearing, which was 2 months later, he didn't show up and had his son represent me instead. C'mon, I didn't hire your son!!!! Sadly, I was denied and had to wait another year. Does a lot of advertising to gain your trust, but don't fall for it. He treats you like you're just another paycheck for him even if he wins your case or not.

I hired Abdo Law firm for my unique case. I mostly worked with Matt Abdo. I was initially advised that I had an extremely miniscule chance of receiving my full license privileges back. I knew my case was an old one, and that I needed to close this chapter in my life. Getting your full license back is very stressful and can be a time-consuming process. Nobody enjoys looking back at their past mistakes and standing up to be judged again. Abdo Law firm understood that, and ensured everything was filed correctly. Matt helped guide me to the right frame of mind. During the meeting with the hearing officer, he spoke up when needed, and allowed me to express what I had to say for myself. After 45 minutes of talking to the hearing officer, She decided on the spot to grant me my full license back. This was something she said she has never done before.
