Long story short my spouse is US citizen we married 2 years ago and I applied by myself to change of status (i130, i485 and i765). Got my work permit and SSN then an interview was scheduled. I did a mistake in the interview the first time, so they sent me another call for an interview and guess what! I did the same mistake again!
1 month later I received a letter that I'll not be able to change my status and I have to apply for I-601 Waiver and if it got approved the USCIS will process my Change of Status.
That was the worst thing ever happened to me since I moved in here, because as far as I know if the waiver got denied It can take up to 2 years after you appeal for a judge to look at your case. I wasn't ready for that! and most probably I was not gonna be able to renew my work permit or driving license.
I'm not trying to be extreme but we both lived the worst 4 months ever! Everything we built together can fade out at anytime, my wife was not ready to leave her kids and leave the country and I was not going to leave my wife behind under any circumstances and also leave her with loans and bill all alone!
I called few lawyers for consulting, I met couple until I spoke to Ms. Garvock. She seemed pretty confident dealing with waivers unlike other lawyers who scared me and told me how my life can be worse if it got denied and no one was sure that he can guarantee the result. Of course no one can guarantee the result but speaking with somebody who is at least confident and telling me exactly "Don't worry I'll get you your green card" made me so confident hiring her!
The waiver was supposed to be sent within 30 days, I already waisted 2 weeks before I met Ms. Garvock, We met 3 times only.
First time she listened carefully to everything, she reviewed all the letters I received from USCIS and she gave us a checklist of required supportive documents.
Second time was 1 week later to review everything we sent her.
She prepared a really strong case (Hundreds of pages!) and 3 months later I received my approval notice and 2 weeks later I got my Green Card Finally!
Third time we met to thank her for everything she did to successfully get me my card!
I totally recommend Ms. Garvock and wishing everyone good luck :)

Ellis Potter is a great attorney firm for H1b ...my attorney Camelia Dusa was very helpful, she constantly kept me updated about my case filing and infact did a great filing that I got approval in just few days
My husband and I had a great experience going through the marriage based green card process with Lisa and Brenda. They were very professional and super knowledgeable, and answered questions promptly. Lisa checked in with us repeatedly during the waiting process of make sure everything was on track and prepared us well for the interviews. We were on the fence about hiring a lawyer but are very glad we did. The peace of mind is worth the cost.

Some lawyers has really low moral standards and/or low professional skills. Heather Garvock Happen to be one of them. I almost hire her to represent a false representation case, she advised to file a waiver immediately (along with big bucks). However, the first question on the waiver form is that you have to admit your false representation is a willful misrepresentation. It is like you accept a guilty plea without a fight. I am so glad I did not hire her for the case. You should be aware as well.

I have consulted Heather Garvock for a false representation case. She advised me to apply for a waiver immediately. Luckily, I read the whole USCIS manual myself. In order to file a waiver, you have to admit your false representation is a willful misrepresentation. It is like that you have admit that you are guilty.
Luckily, I hired another attorney, and she made some good points and the case was approved.
Immigration case is often frustrating and related to your future. If you don't want your future ruined by Heather Garvock, stay away from her. She either had really low moral standard (she charges a lot more for a waiver) or she was not smart enough to understand the logic of the law.

This is a personal review, it is based on my personal experience with one of the lawyer at this firm (HEATHER GARVOCK), I went to her for consultation after my Asylum case has been denied in the Asylum office and been referred to the immigration court, I went to ask her if I could adjust my status (get green card) based on EB2 (employment based green card), 3 to 10 years bar entry to U.S, EAD renewal and some other questions. At the end of the consultation when I was about to leave she suggested that If I agree to share my Notice of Intent of Deny (NOID) from my denied Asylum case with her she will evaluate my Asylum case in return for free. Just to clarify the Notice of Intent of Deny (NOID) is a document that states the reasons why you are not illegible for Asylum in details and what are the factors that the person who make a decision rely on to make his decision, and as lawyers know that one of the factors that deciding your asylum case is the asylum officer or the judge who is been assigned to your case, so understanding and analyzing how this Officer thinks regarding Asylum and what the factors he relies on to make his decision could help lawyers in preparing their Asylum cases and the NOID has all these details and information that could be helpful for Lawyers, another thing only small percentage ( like 5%) of Asylum applicants get the NOID because your case should be denied while you are in valid non-immigration status to get it otherwise if you were approved you will not get it and if you have been denied while you are out of status you will get a referral notice to the court and neither one of them has the detailed information that's available in the NOID, that’s the reason why she wanted to have my NOID and in return she supposed to evaluate my Asylum case for free based on her suggestion. I agreed and emailed her my NOID the day after our meeting, I waited for 2 months without hearing anything back from her so I sent her another email to remind her that I did not hear anything back from her regarding my case evaluation, now It is been one month since I sent her my second email and 3 months since I sent her my NOID without hearing anything back from her, Its clear now that she lied to me to get what she wanted without giving me what she promised she would in return, The good thing about this experience it showed me that she is a dishonest and not trustworthy person and give me a warning to not go any further and hire her for any immigration issue that I could have, in my opinion when you hire a lawyer make sure to hire an honest person you could trust, not someone who lie to you, take advantage of you and give you false promises.
