Tyler at Morgenstern DeVoesick saved my wife and I from a lot of heartache. We started a new business and I thought I could create an S Corp through legal zoom. Well, a lot of red flags started happening after my naive DIY S Corp venture. A road that led me to Tyler. Not only did Tyler fix the issues, he was also sympathetic to our situation and charged us a fair price to do things right. In the long run he saved us money and time. My wife and I are forever grateful.

Do yourself a favor and do it right the first time by calling Tyler and Morgenstern DeVoesick. You will be happy you did.

Jordan and his team helped me draft 3 detailed contracts for my business. I was very pleased with the final products, and they were extremely easy to work with. Thank you very much for your help.

Kristen and Jennifer are currently at the end of their second real estate transaction for me, and I couldn't be more pleased with them. They are professional, fast, extremely effective even during challenges, and an all around pleasure to work with.

Christine Szpet did an outstanding job! She went above and beyond to ensure that the closing date was set up by our deadline. She is super knowledgeable and super friendly. It was a pleasure working with her during this process. Thank you so much for the great service!

Edited Review:
Morgenstern DeVoesick contacted me after the initial review about the two topics I originally posted about. The first point had a satisfactory answer with regards to PMI. Though there was no real resolution, it was clear that the PMI issue was not MDeV's responsibility since they never saw the original loan offer.

The second point about permits was responded to, but was still something that I believe should have been caught. I can however appreciate that there are many details in a real estate transaction and that you can catch them all the time.

Original Review:

For our real estate transaction the lawyers at Morgenstern DeVoesick missed a couple issues that returned later to cause us a lot of trouble:

1) Our original mortgage agreement had small changes made to it prior to signing, especially regarding PMI, that were not caught. The changes were contradictory within the document and have made it impossible for us to get our original advertised PMI rate.

2) A permit required by the sellers for renovation work done prior to sale was on record, but had not gone through the inspection process by the town. This meant that 6 months after purchasing the home the town called requiring an inspection that would need holes punched in several walls. Thankfully the seller made right and had sufficient pictures to placate the town, but was under no obligation to help us. This type of permit check is presumably what you pay a lawyer to do when buying a house.
